Marinduque State College - School of Liberal Arts

Marinduque State College - School of Liberal Arts School of Arts and Science (SAS) was created in 1995 and was supported by the BOT approved organizational structure (BOT Resolution No. 15 s. 2000).

The conversion of Marinduque Institute of Science and Technology into a State College in 1990, under RA. 6833 made the Marinduque State College the province premiere institution of higher learning. In 1992, through RA. 7319 satellite campuses were established in response to the demand of the public in increasing services. One of these campuses was the Marinduque Community College in Sta. Cruz, whi

ch was absorbed together with its Arts and Science related curriculum. Due to the expanding curricular offerings of the College, especially in Boac Campus, the School of Arts and Science (SAS) was created in 1995 and was supported by the BOT approved organizational structure (BOT Resolution No. 15 s. 2000). The primary aim of the former organization is to strengthen the instruction of general education subjects and to offer arts and science related course. First it has serve as a service school of the College thus, it has democratized as the main school for the instruction of general education subjects and in pursuant to the task and guiding principles of RA. 7722, otherwise known as the Higher Education Act of 1994.
