Initiated by the Office of the Campus Executive Director led by Dr. Mary Jeane S. Lubos, in coordination with Mr. Raymond F. Taladtad, Ad Hoc Committee Chairperson, Project Campus REVIVE (Renewing Educational Venues through Initiative, Volunteerism and Excellence) was successfully conducted on July 20-21, 2026.

For researchers and innovators, securing intellectual property (IP) is just as vital as the process of invention itself. Without proper protection, groundbreaking research risks losing its commercial viability and institutional ownership.

To address this critical step, the Mindoro State University Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, Technology, and Extension (RITE) presents the next session of the RITE on Trend series: “The IP Playbook: A Guide to IP Protection and Prior Art Search for Research and Innovation.”
This session will provide a practical roadmap for navigating the IP landscape, covering the fundamentals of patents, utility models, copyrights, and trademarks. Participants will also learn how to conduct a prior art search, an essential skill to evaluate the global novelty of their work before development.

By mastering these frameworks, our academic community can successfully transform raw research into secure, high-value intellectual assets.
