The Office of Gender and Development (OGAD) officially launched the campus's first Childminding and Lactating Room, named GADjamina, on May 11, 2026.

In her opening message, OGAD Director Assoc. Prof. Almira A. Hadji reaffirmed the office's commitment to promoting gender-responsive and family-friendly spaces that support the well-being of students, employees, and clients of the university.

Representing Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, OIC Assoc. Prof. Joseph V. Andas conveyed the Chancellor's commendation of the initiative, recognizing it as a significant milestone in fostering a more inclusive, caring, and supportive campus environment.

Messages of support were likewise delivered by Assoc. Prof. Alcyn R. Bakkang, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, and Assoc. Prof. Kartini R. Tahir, Chairperson of the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, highlighting the significance of GADjamina in supporting student-parents and promoting a more inclusive, caring, and learner-centered campus community.

One of the highlights of the program was the Mother's Day tribute, featuring a special song performance by Ms. Angelica Esmael of the Gusih Lumba Music Guild. Handcrafted flowers were also distributed as tokens of appreciation to honor and celebrate mothers.

OGAD extends its heartfelt gratitude to Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali, for the unwavering support of the Office's initiatives and steadfast commitment to advancing a gender-inclusive and gender-responsive institution.

Special appreciation is also extended to the Infrastructure Services Office, headed by Engr. Allan S. Caguio; the Auxiliary Services Unit, headed by Mr. Al-Qazwini J. Hadji; and the Office of Medical and Wellness Services, headed by Dr. Jaiver L. Sahibuddin, for their invaluable support and contributions in making the project possible. The Office of Creative Works, headed by Asst. Prof. Nelson S. Dino, for helping conceptualize the meaningful identity behind the name GADjamina, a symbol of care, nurturing, strength, and blessings that embodies the facility's purpose and reflects the university's commitment to fostering a supportive and gender-responsive environment for all.

Ang MSU TCTO Office of Futures Studies and Foresight ay nakikiisa sa Sambayanang Pilipino sa paggunita ng Pambansang Linggo ng Watawat ng Pilipinas mula Mayo 28 - Hunyo 12, 2022 🇵🇭

Alam niyo ba?

Noong Marso 6, 1965, nilagdaan ni Pangulong Diosdado P. Macapagal ang Presidential Proclamation No. 374 na nagtakda sa ika‑28 ng Mayo bilang Pambansang Araw ng Watawat ng Pilipinas. Layunin nitong gunitain ang petsa nang unang inilabas ang pambansang sagisag matapos talunin ng Pambansang Hukbo ng Pilipinas ang mga hukbo ng Espanya sa Labanan sa Alapan, Imus, Cavite noong 1898.

Upang palawigin ang panahon ng pagdiriwang, nilagdaan naman ni Pangulong Fidel V. Ramos ang Executive Order No. 179 noong Mayo 23, 1994. Itinakda nito ang panahon mula ika‑28 ng Mayo hanggang ika‑12 ng Hunyo, Araw ng Kasarinlan, bilang Pambansang Linggo ng Watawat ng Pilipinas.

Sa mga panahong ito, hinihikayat ang lahat ng Pilipino na itampok ang watawat ng Pilipinas sa mga tanggapan, ahensya at instrumento ng pamahalaan, mga negosyo, at mga tahanan sa buong bansa bilang tanda ng paggunita.

The Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO) proudly marks another significant milestone in its internationalization journey with its official acceptance as a member of the Consortium of Asia-Pacific Education Universities (CAPEU). Pursuant to the Bangsamoro Holidays Act (BAA No. 39), the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will observe the following holidays:

📌 May 26, 2026 (Tuesday) – Day of Arafah (Special Non-Working Holiday)

📌 May 27, 2026 (Wednesday) – Eid'l Adha (Regular Non-Working Holiday)

📌 May 28, 2026 (Thursday) – 1st Day of Tashriq (Special Non-Working Holiday)

The Provincial Government of Tawi-Tawi informs the public that May 25, 2026 (Monday), remains a regular working day for all government offices.

For offices implementing a Four-Day Compressed Workweek (Monday to Thursday), Friday serves as the regular rest day. As such, personnel under this work arrangement may have an extended weekend from May 26 to May 31, 2026.

The public is advised to plan their schedules and transactions with government offices accordingly.

Nine years ago, the peace of Marawi was shattered, leaving deep scars on our land and in our hearts.

The siege, which began on May 23, 2017, and lasted for five months, claimed innocent lives and displaced thousands of families. Today, as we look back at the tragedy through the remaining ruins, we also honor the resilience, sacrifices, and unbreakable spirit of the people of Marawi.

The Bangsamoro Government reaffirms its commitment to the holistic healing, rehabilitation, and lasting peace of Marawi City. Through the joint interventions of our ministries, national partners, and NGOs, we remain united in a shared goal: to restore what was lost and pave the way for a stronger, better-rebuilt community.

Sila po ang first batch ng aming Juris Doctor students sa aming College of Law. Ang aming Bar Operations ay pinangungunahan ng Vice Dean, Atty. Datu Esma Mikee P. Maruhom with the support of Ms. Norsheen Sanuddin and other members of the staff of the College of Law (Maam Phriea, Sir Nadjer, and Sir Kevin). Maraming salamat din sa mga sophomores na nag send-off at nagpadala ng mga send-off gifts.

Samahan niyo po ako na mag pray para sila ay makapasa at maging Shari’ah Counselors. Pag nagkataon, magkakaroon ang Tawi-Tawi ng mga HOMEGROWN SHARI’AH COUNSELORS.
