๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ Bringing immense pride to the southernmost frontier of the Philippines, ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ ๐. ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ข, a 3rd-year Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies student, was officially recognized as one of the Most Outstanding Participants at the Collaborative Summer Mission on Sustainability (COSMOS) 2026 Onsite Program.
The high-level international exchange was hosted by Universitas Brawijaya in Malang, Indonesia, from ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐โ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐.
Mustashar, a proud member of the Sama tribe and the concurrent Governor of the Islamic Studentsโ Government Organization (ISGO) under the College of Islamic Arts and Sciences (CIAS), faced a highly competitive international screening process. Out of more than 300 global applicants who joined the COSMOS 2026 Pre-Event, he was one of only 10 participants selected worldwide for the exclusive onsite program.
Remarkably, Mustashar stood out not just for his leadership, but for his academic standing. While the vast majority of the 10 global onsite delegates were already pursuing their Masterโs and Ph.D. degrees, Mustashar was one of only two undergraduate students chosen to participate.
COSMOS 2026 serves as a premier international platform fostering global collaboration, youth leadership, and cultural understanding. The rigorous four-day program immersed delegates in:
Interactive lectures and debates on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Youth development and advanced leadership training.
Hands-on community engagement and environmental conservation initiatives.
Educational study visits to Indonesiaโs prominent historical and ecological sites.
Throughout the summit, Governor Mustasharโs active engagement, eloquence in intercultural dialogue, and visionary leadership earned him the prestigious "Most Outstanding Participant" distinction.
