Friday, February 13, 2026, the Department of Literary and Cultural Studies (DELCS), College of Arts and Social Sciences successfully conducted Limpah Kasabโ€™nnalan: The Imprint of Truth at the ISL, MSU-TCTO. The program was organized in celebration of National Arts Month 2026, anchored on the theme of National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), โ€œAni ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting,โ€ which highlights the power of art in carrying truth and courage.
The initiative also served as a meaningful response to the recent Bongao fire incident that affected several students and families. Recognizing that reports and statistics often fail to capture the emotional and cultural realities of lived experiences, the program positioned art as a space for healing, reflection, and communal memory.

More than a creative workshop, Limpah Kasabโ€™nnalan affirmed the role of MSU-TCTO as a cultural and educational space that nurtures both artistic growth and social responsibility. By integrating writing, visual and performing arts, and mentorship, the program strengthened studentsโ€™ creative skills while contributing to emotional wellbeing, inclusivity, and community cohesion.

Through storytelling and artistic expression rooted in the place of identity, students do not only processed collective trauma but also reaffirmed pride in their cultural roots and traditions.

Alligned with the spirit of United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals, the program embodied commitments to quality education. Inclusive communities, and peace building. By promoting accessible cultural participation and psychological support through the arts, it advanced the principles of SDG 4, SDG 11 and SDG 16.

Limpah Kasab'nnalan demonstrate how arts and culture serve not only as creative outlets but also as transformative tools to resilience, sustainability and social healing.

Ultimately, the event was not merely an observance of National Arts Month l. It became a living testament to how arts can document truth, restore voice. Preserve cultural identity. And rebuild a sense of belonging within a community.
