The Mindanao State University โ Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography successfully conducted a Leadership Seminar for the Supreme Student Council Officers and Kawasa on April 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Fisheries Training Center, Dormitel, MSU-TCTO, Sanga-Sanga, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
The activity aimed to strengthen student leadership capacities anchored on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. It also sought to equip student leaders with practical skills in governance, decision-making, and servant leadership, and to promote a culture of integrity, service, and community engagement among student organizations.
The program commenced with an opening message delivered by Director Mohammadsharif I. Abdulhamid, who emphasized the significance of leadership development among students and expressed appreciation to the invited resource speaker.
The lecture proper was delivered by Atty. Rashid Vedra Pandi, who comprehensively discussed the theme โLeadership Between the Lines.โ He highlighted the importance of understanding diverse perspectives before arriving at sound decisions and solutions in leadership practice.
An open forum followed, providing student leaders the opportunity to raise questions, share insights, and express concerns related to student leadership. The resource speaker responded to the queries with clarity and depth, further enriching the participantsโ understanding of effective leadership.
The program concluded with a photo opportunity and the singing of the University Hymn, reaffirming the participantsโ commitment to service, unity, and the advancement of the studentry and the university.
