CMS Celebrates the BOR Approval of the Proposed Data Analytics and Modeling Center (DAMC) of CMS Faculty Member
The proposed Data Analytics and Modeling Center (DAMC) โ a proposal by our very own Asst. Prof. Azman A. N**s โ has been approved by the MSU Board of Regents during its 1st Quarter Meeting last March 31, 2026.
CMS is deeply grateful to Chancellor Dr. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali and the MSU Board of Regents for their confidence and support in approving this proposal.
The DAMC is a vision rooted in the belief that Tawi-Tawi and the Bangsamoro deserve world-class computational research infrastructure. CMS stands fully behind this proposal and will continue to support its goals of advancing data science research, training the next generation of researchers, connecting MSU-TCTO to international research networks, and strengthening the University's capacity for national, regional, and global research collaboration โ every step of the way, from BOR approval to DBM, and until the DAMC becomes a reality for MSU-TCTO.
We are happy to report to Team Dolphins ๐ฌ that all our agenda submitted to the MSU Board of Regents were approved during its 1st quarter meeting held on 31 March 2026 at the Commission on Higher Education.
Among the notable agenda that were approved are the following:
1. Institutionalization of the Fisheries Licensure Examination for BS Fisheries graduating students of the College of Oceanography, Fisheries, Environmental Science and Technology (COFEST);
2. Institutionalization of the Marine Science Museum;
3. Revitalization of the Sama Studies Center;
4. Establishment of the Office of Resource Management and Generation;
5. Comprehensive Anti-Smoking and To***co Control Policy and Guidelines of MSU TCTO;
6. Promotion/Reclassification of 18 faculty members with the rank Assistant Professor IV (12); Teacher III (5); and Master Teacher II (1);
7. Retitling or Conversion from High School to Collegiate Rank of two (2) faculty members of MSU ILS, College of Education;
8. Appointments of thirteen (13) administrative personnel; and
9. Procurement of a 29-seater Coaster Bus for MSU TCTO Students (Baby Dolphins).
Moreover, the following proposals for FY 2027 were approved by the Board. For these to materialize, the proposals will be submitted to the Department of Budget and Management for possible inclusion in the 2027 NEP and GAA, Insha Allah.
1. Proposed Construction of a Four Storey-Academic Building with Roof Deck;
2. Proposed Construction of a Sports Development Complex as input to the Bangsamoro Development Investment Program (BDIP);
3. Proposed Construction of the Business Innovation Center;
4. Proposed Completion of the MSU College of Law Building and its Facilities;
5. Proposed Data Analytics and Modeling Center (DAMC);
6. Proposed Inclusion of Quality Assurance and Development Budget; and
7. Proposed Creation of Twenty (20) Assistant Professor Plantilla Items
