𝗠𝗣𝗦𝗨 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝟳𝟬 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗲𝘀

Bontoc, Mountain Province - Mountain Province State University (MPSU) celebrated a proud milestone as it honored 70 Latin awardees at the Gawad Mafikhas 2026: Honors Recognition and Thanksgiving Awards on May 22, 2026, at Basil and Lime Hall in Samoki, Bontoc.

This year’s cohort includes 68 cm laude and 2 magna cm laude graduates, the first and highest number of Latin honorees. The achievement underscores the institution’s deepening culture of academic rigor and its steadfast commitment to quality education.

In his message, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue lauded the honorees for their discipline and perseverance, noting that their success reflects both personal grit and the university’s mission to champion academic excellence.

“As you move forward, never forget those who raised and stood beside you as you pursued your dreams. Never forget the hands that sacrificed, the hearts that prayed, and the people who believed in you even during moments of doubt. Let your success always reflect their love and sacrifices. Never ever forget your parents,” Dr. Cue said.

As a gesture of recognition and appreciation for their hard work, perseverance, and dedication, Dr. Cue awarded tokens to the graduates during the ceremony.

The celebration concluded with a fellowship dinner that gathered honorees, their families, faculty, and university officials. It was a warm, meaningful evening, rich with gratitude, camaraderie, and shared pride, and a moment to strengthen bonds, exchange stories, and honor the collective success of the MPSU community.

Paracelis, Mountain Province – A total of 30 graduates received their diplomas during the 34th Commencement Exercises of Mountain Province State University (MPSU)–Paracelis Campus, led by University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue on May 21, 2026, at Bacarri, Paracelis.

With the theme, “Brewing Excellence: Cultivating Highland Heritage, Roasting Potentials, and Savoring Global Success,” the ceremony highlighted the achievements and aspirations of the graduating class.

Atty. Cyphrine Maxcel Yawan Dalog-Duclan, a member of the MPSU Board of Regents and Chief of Staff of Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In her message, she inspired the graduates to pursue excellence, uphold their cultural heritage, and contribute positively to their communities as they embark on new journeys beyond the university.

All Ichos Awardees are respectfully requested to attend the Awarding Ceremony on May 25, 2026, at the Eyeb Grandstand, Poblacion, Bontoc, Mountain Province. Registration will officially begin at 7:30 AM. Awardees are requested to come in their OJT Uniform and be accompanied by their parent(s) or guardian(s), who are encouraged to wear formal or semi-formal attire. Please take note of your assigned number, as this will serve as your seat number during the ceremony. Thank you, and congratulations to all awardees!

𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆| University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue represented by Chief-of-Staff, Dr. Karen B. Cue, Bontoc Campus Administrator, Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, CABMIT Dean, Dr. Elvin P. Rosario and Mr. Philip L. Balagtey welcomed distinguished visitors from Circle Works during their courtesy visit at the Office of the University President today, May 12, 2026.
The delegation were Mr. Gabe Mercado, Ms. Vanessa Kate Aniceto, Ms. Agnes Tan, and Ms. Ampi Mina.

Said visit centered on an information session highlighting the principles and practices of the circular economy, a timely and forward-looking approach to sustainability and resource management.

Aftwerwards, the delegation proceeded to the Coffee Library Museum and Happiness Center. #
