To advance shared goals for an inclusive and gender-responsive agriculture management, the Mountain Province State University (MPSU) and Central Bicol State University Agriculture (CBSUA) forged a partnership for research and institutional learning through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at MPSU, Bontoc, MP, on 22 January 2026.

Through their representatives MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue and CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, both universities inked the MOA in a ceremony at the MPSU Administration Hall.

Said MOA outlines joint initiatives for research, extension, and capacity -building programs, projects, and activities with a focus on gender-responsive approaches to agricultural development.

As part of their institutional commitment, officials and representatives of both universities also signed the Statement of Commitment and Agreement for Gender-responsive Agriculture.

Following this, the delegates engaged in a discussion and dialogue where they shared their best practices, success stories, and challenges in implementing inclusive agricultural programs as well as institutional strategies, priorities, and community-based innovations.

In his message, Dr. Cue emphasized the transformative role of inclusive and collaborative approaches in agricultural development.

“Agriculture today demands not only innovation and productivity, but also inclusivity, equity, and sustainability. We look forward to meaningful exchanges, co-created knowledge, and institutional learning that will benefit not only our universities, but more importantly, the farming communities we serve” he said. #

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 || OSR turns over 4 water dispensers to MPSU Tadian

The Office of the Student Regent turned over four water dispensers to the MPSU–Tadian Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers on January 16, 2026, advancing its university-wide hydration drive for students.

The initiative seeks to establish free water stations in areas with high student foot traffic to ensure easier access to drinking water. The water dispensers were solicited through the Office of Provincial Vice Governor Jet O. Dominguez, supporting efforts to improve student services on campus.

The installation of the dispensers aims to ease students’ daily expenses by reducing the need to purchase bottled water while also limiting the use of single-use plastic bottles.

The turnover was led by MPSU Student Regent Hill Coleman C. Awichen, together with Mr. Chester Kalang-ad, and witnessed by SSC officers who will coordinate the placement and maintenance of the dispensers for student use.
