A Voice Raised Through the Proper Channels Is a Voice That Creates Change.
What began as letters carrying the concerns, questions, and sentiments of our students became a meaningful dialogue with the University President Edgar G. Cue and the Student Regent Hill Coleman Awichen, a testament that student voices matter and deserve to be heard.
During the meeting, students were given the opportunity to openly discuss issues affecting the campus, seek answers to their queries, and share recommendations for the betterment of the university community. More importantly, it proved that when students choose to engage responsibly and communicate through the proper channels, their concerns do not go unnoticed.
The dialogue did not end at the discussion table. Following the meeting, the University Leadership immediately proceeded to the Office of the Campus Dean and the various colleges to personally convey the concerns raised by the students. This swift action demonstrated the administrationโs commitment to ensuring that student voices are not only heard but are also brought directly to the offices and units responsible for addressing them.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to the students who took the initiative to raise their concerns, submit their letters, ask important questions, and actively participate in the discussion. Your willingness to engage, speak up, and contribute to the betterment of our university community reflects the very essence of responsible student leadership and active citizenship. By choosing dialogue over silence and constructive engagement over indifference, you have helped pave the way for positive change.
This dialogue stands as a reminder that every concern raised in good faith, every question asked with purpose, and every voice expressed through the appropriate processes contributes to a stronger, more responsive, and more accountable institution. Progress begins not with silence, but with students who are willing to speak, participate, and be part of the solution.
Yesterday was not only an opportunity to be heard, but also the willingness of leaders to listen and act. Because every query matters, every concern deserves attention, and every student voice has the potential to shape the future of our university.
When students speak through the right channels, conversations begin. When leaders listen, action follows. And when action follows, meaningful change becomes possible.
