National Vaccination Day 2021:

[ Republic Act No. 11525-COVID-19 Vaccination Program Act of 2021]
An act Establishing the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Expediting the Vaccine Procurement and Administration Process, Providing Funds therefore, and for other Purposes.

Vaccination is the most important part of a family and public health. It prevents the spread of contagious, dangerous, and deadly diseases. According to the World Health Organisation, vaccination is a proven tool for controlling and eliminating life-threatening infectious diseases.

However, to make the entire nation aware of the importance of vaccination every year National Vaccination Day is observed. National Vaccination Day is also known as National Immunization Day.

The low turn-out of students who submitted for vaccination during the vaccination program of the University last November 17-18, 2021 warrants an intervention in order to realize its primary objectives, which is to widen the coverage of COVID-19 vaccination among the University populace. Once of the identified factors pertains to hesitancy on vaccination.

In this regard, the Student Services and Alumni Affairs in partnership with Supreme Student Council- Tertiary Student Government will be conducting a virtual info-drive on Friday, November 26, 2021 and shall commence at 2:00 PM.

The activity aims to address concerns of students relative to vaccine hesitancy and strengthening their knowledge on health measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 disease.
