On November 18, 2025, The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Human Resource Management students Hosted By the Group Six, successfully Conduct a webinar training program entitled:“𝓑𝓻𝓲𝓭𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓖𝓪𝓹: 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓯𝓵𝓲𝓬𝓽 𝓜𝓪𝓷𝓪𝓰𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓪 𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓸𝓷𝓲𝓸𝓾𝓼 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓴𝓹𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮”

The webinar aimed to equip participants with a deeper understanding of workplace conflict, its underlying causes, and practical strategies for fostering a more collaborative and harmonious working environment.

The program proceeded seamlessly, setting a respectful and organized tone with the Online Registration, Prayer, and Singing of the National Anthem and ESSU Hymn.
Ma'am Katherine Corado, Ph.D., delivered a passionate welcome, underscoring the critical need for future HR leaders to master conflict resolution. A pre-test was administered to gauge participants' initial knowledge and set the stage for the learning sessions ahead.

Mr. Arjay Senahonon initiated the first discussion, elucidating the Types and Causes of Conflict and sharing preventive strategies organizations can implement. Participants learned to identify common triggers for conflict and implement proactive strategies such as open communication forums and team-building exercises. An engaging activity followed, allowing participants to apply their new knowledge in real-time, enhancing the session's interactivity and relevance.

The Second Topic Is Delivered by Ms. Jazille Jean Coles led an insightful session on Mediation Skills and Techniques, emphasizing the crucial role of HR professionals as mediators. Participants explored how empathy, active listening, and clear communication contribute to resolving workplace disputes constructively. Another activity allowed participants to practice mediation scenarios, refining their problem-solving skills and enhancing their ability to navigate challenging conversations. As one participant noted, "The mediation scenarios were incredibly helpful in building my confidence to handle difficult conversations in the workplace."

Overall, the webinar achieved remarkable success from start to finish. The speakers delivered their content with clarity and impact, and the participants remained actively engaged throughout the day. The training not only provided valuable knowledge but also strengthened the HRM students' preparedness to address real-world workplace conflicts, setting them on a path to creating more harmonious workplaces in the region. This is a great example of how hands-on training and practical skill development can contribute to a more positive and productive work environment.

𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬, 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 — Commitment, perseverance, and a passion for excellence have once again put the Human Resource Society in the spotlight as 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁. 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐀, 𝐚𝐂𝐏𝐇𝐑, successfully passed the Associate Certified Practitioner in Human Resource (aCPHR) examination.

Catherine, a proud HRS alumna, a beacon of the HRS, and a former ESAMELCO intern, currently serves as part of the ESAMELCO staff. She also previously held the role of Vice President for Graphics and Publication of Batch USAD Federation. She described the aCPHR journey as one of the most fulfilling and challenging experiences in her professional career.

“Balancing work and review was never easy,” Catherine shared. “There were days when fatigue tried to slow me down, but my determination reminded me why I started in the first place.”

The 𝐚𝐂𝐏𝐇𝐑 exam is known for its comprehensive and rigorous coverage—from recruitment and labor relations to compensation management, organizational development, HR operations, and employee relations. For Catherine, the real test was not only the theories but the application of HR principles in real-world scenarios.
Working at ESAMELCO became her training ground.

Waiting for the results was a test of patience, but it also became a moment of quiet reflection. Catherine said that even before the results came out, she already felt victorious.

“This experience inspired me to continue learning and to aim higher. Taking the aCPHR exam was not just about earning a title or credential; it was about professional commitment, integrity, and passion for the field of Human Resource Management", she reflected.

“Passing the exam was a blessing but deciding to take it was the real victory,” she added.

Her success serves as an inspiration to her colleagues, her Batch USAD family, and HR practitioners across Eastern Samar, proof that passion, hard work, and the will to grow will always open doors to greater opportunities.
