๐๐๐๐ | At exactly 8:25 am today, August 18, 2026, our esteemed accreditors arrived at the gates of the Polytechnic College of Botolan (PCB) and were warmly welcomed with lively energy and enthusiasm by our talented PCB Dance Troupe, who delivered a vibrant Pinatubo Festival Dance.
The accreditation activity brought together PCB officials, municipal leaders, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, representatives of the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community, board members, and ALCUCOA accreditors as the institution continued its efforts to strengthen the quality of its academic programs.
The opening program featured a processional led by PCB students, followed by PCB personnel and key officials, municipal department heads, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, IP community representatives, board members, Mayor Jun Omar C. Ebdane, and the ALCUCOA accreditors.
The program continued with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the DORORO prayer led by Mr. Ramil F. Cosme of the Tribal Council of the Lubos na Alyansa ng mga Katutubong Ayta ng Zambales (LAKAS). The Zambales Hymn, Botolan Hymn, PCB Hymn, and ALCU Hymn were also performed.
The PCB Dance Troupe opened the program with a performance featuring the Pinatubo King and Queen, followed by the opening remarks of Dr. Mary Grace S. Manangan, Municipal Government Assistant Department Head and College President.
Messages were delivered by Dr. Joy P. Cortez, Municipal Government Department Head and School Administrator; SB Member Eddie Daos, Chairperson of the Committee on Education; and Hon. Jun Omar C. Ebdane, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Local Chief Executive.
In his message, SB Member Daos emphasized the institutionโs goal of developing learners who can compete on a global level. He expressed the vision of creating โan educational institution that can create globally competitive students,โ highlighting the importance of quality education in preparing students for future opportunities.
The program also featured an intermission number, Habanera Botoleรฑa, performed by the PCB Dance Troupe.
The activity proceeded with the direction-setting led by Dr. Dalisay D. Brawner, Program Accreditor for BSED English and Supervising Accreditor.
Brawner highlighted ALCUCOAโs role in helping educational institutions improve their standards through the theme, โRaising the Bar, Elevating Quality Assurance Together.โ She emphasized the importance of producing quality education and developing skilled and ethical graduates who can contribute not only to their institution but also to the nation as a whole. She further underscored the goal of bringing academic standards to greater heights through continuous quality assurance and institutional improvement.
Other members of the accreditation team included Dr. Ana Maria B. Fresnido, Librarian/Archivist of De La Salle University Libraries; Dr. Amalfi B. Tabin Jr., Program Accreditor for BCAED and Dean of the College of Education at Universidad de Manila; Dr. Alni Gavjaymin B. Casacop, Program Accreditor for BS Information Technology; Dr. Maricelle M. Nueva, Program Accreditor for BS Computer Science and President of Tangub City Global College; Dr. Analiza Arcega, Program Accreditor for Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and President of Pateros Technological College; and Dr. Charlemagne G. Laviรฑa, Program Accreditor for BS Information Science and University President of Laguna University.
Despite the temporary suspension of regular classes, PCB continues to carry out important institutional activities while adapting to the alternative mode of learning. The accreditation process serves as an opportunity for the college to demonstrate its commitment to academic quality, institutional development, and the continuous improvement of its programs.
Through the collaboration of its administrators, faculty, students, local government officials, community representatives, and accreditation experts, PCB continues to pursue higher academic standards and its goal of producing globally competitive, skilled, and ethical graduates.
