READ | To mark International Coastal Clean-up Day 2025, an annual event dedicated to restoring waterways and coastal regions, the Polytechnic College of Botolan will hold a localized adaptation of this worldwide initiative. This year, our efforts will concentrate on cleaning and improving our classrooms and corridors, garden and school grounds, including drainage systems and designated waste disposal areas, as an essential part of environmental responsibility.

This localized school-based initiative is on September 20, 2025, from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM within PCB premises. All participants are required to submit a signed parental consent form prior to the activity. Please obtain a copy of waiver and consent form from your respective department. Make sure to have it signed by your parent or guardian and bring the completed form on the day of the event. Lastly, please wear comfortable clothes, closed shoes, and gloves.

PCBians, let us all take part in this meaningful event to promote a cleaner and healthier environment for our school community!

MOA signing| New partnership under our Adopt-A-Classroom Extension Program

Today, we officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Mr. John Chris Dagsaan, representative of the ALPHA PHI OMEGA PCB Petitioning Group, who generously donated 2 sets of wall fans to help improve classroom comfort and learning conditions.

This initiative was made even more impactful through the unwavering support of our College President, Dr. Mary Grace S. Manangan, and School Administrator, Dr. Joy P. Cortez, whose leadership continues to inspire collaborative efforts for inclusive education and community empowerment

With every contribution, we move closer to creating safe, inspiring spaces for learners to thrive.

READ | The Polytechnic College of Botolan, through the Office of Student Affairs and Services and the PCB Clinic headed by Nurse Gina F. Acuna as the spearheading unit, in partnership with the Department of Health - Zambales, will conduct a Two-Day Health and Social Awareness Program on September 15 and September 22, 2025, 8:00 AM, at the PCB Covered Court.

This program tackles pressing issues such as to***co and v**e use, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), drug and substance abuse, and HIV awareness. Through expert-led lectures to be provided by resource speakers from the Provincial Health Office, students will gain valuable knowledge and practical prevention strategies to promote a healthier and safer campus environment.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Polytechnic College of Botolan Participates in 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2025

The Polytechnic College of Botolan (PCB) actively took part in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) conducted last September 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.. Commensurate with the national activity initiated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), PCB personnel and students devoted two minutes into doing the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” in order to prepare in saving lives during an earthquake.

The drill is held across the country every quarter of a year to test disaster readiness and response of schools, institutions and communities. This activity is also designed to underscore the significance of inculcating discipline, readiness and resiliency among citizens particularly those living in earthquake-prone areas such as Zambales.

The NSED is also upheld by Republic Act No. 10121, or the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, that requires the implementation of disaster risk reduction programs in both public and private institutions. In addition, Department of Education Order No. 48, s. 2012, and Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Orders highly recommend conducting earthquake and disaster preparedness drills every now and then by all schools as means to protect lives and properties.

✨Stepping Into the Field: BCAEd, BECEd, and BEEd Students Begin Their FS Journey✨

Days 1 and 2 of deployment marked an exciting milestone for our BCAEd, BECEd, and BEEd 4th Year students as they officially embarked on their Field Study 1 and 2. With eager hearts and fresh perspectives, the students entered their assigned schools, ready to observe, experience, and learn from real classroom settings.

The first two days allowed them to familiarize themselves with their cooperating schools, mentors, and pupils. From classroom routines to teaching strategies, every moment was a valuable opportunity to connect theory with practice. Beyond observation, the students also began cultivating professional relationships that will shape their growth as future educators.

A huge thank you also to the Dean of the Institute of Education and BEED Program Coordinator, Dr. Myrna S. Pangan; BCAEd Program Coordinator, Dr. Alvin Ferrer; BECEd Program Coordinator, Dr. Mark Anthony R. Gantang; and CPE Adviser/IPED Coordinator, Sir Edwin Delos Reyes for their guidance, support, and endorsement of all students in their cooperating schools, ensuring the smooth conduct of the deployment.

This deployment is more than just a requirement—it is a journey of discovery, reflection, and transformation, preparing them to step confidently into the teaching profession.

Noong Agosto 22, 2025, nakibahagi ang Polytechnic College of Botolan sa isinagawang webinar na inihandog ng ALCULTURA na may temang: “Ang Papel ng Unang Wika sa Pagkatuto sa Konteksto ng Lokal na mga Dalubhasaan at mga Pamantasan”

Tampok na tagapagsalita si Prop. Marvin C. Punsalan mula sa Dalubhasaang Panlungsod ng Angeles (CCA), na nagbahagi ng mahahalagang pananaw ukol sa kahalagahan ng unang wika bilang pundasyon ng edukasyon sa mga pamantasan at dalubhasaan.

Napakinggan din ang pamukaw na mensahe ni Dr. Richard G. Daenos, ALCULTURA, Inc. Executive Director at DOTR III Regional Director, na nagbigay inspirasyon sa lahat ng kalahok.

Isang makabuluhan at napapanahong diskurso na nagpatibay sa pagpapahalaga sa wika bilang bahagi ng ating pagkakakilanlan at tagapagtaguyod ng kalidad na edukasyon.
