Various items under finance, admin, academic, policy, for information, and matters for confirmation will be deliberated and acted upon. These items are of great importance for the development of the University and for the stakeholders.

Board Secretary Tom participated and presented research paper titled “Exploring the Implementation of Mother Tongue as Medium of Instruction and MTB-MLE Program under Republic Act No. 12027 and Revised DepEd Language Curriculum” together with his co-author Assistant Professor Sheila V. Paredes at the International Conference on Methodological Adcances in Research on October 13-15, 2026 organized by Agusan del Sur State University.

Aside from working as Board Secretary, Sec Tom continues to take part in research and publication to contribute to the endeavors of the University.

Board Secretary Tom recognized by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) for his exemplary performance in achieving the Highest Score in Post-Test throughout the Governance Strengthening for Effective SUC Oversight Training for SUC Board Secretaries under the Elevating Leadership and Institutional Capacity towards Excellence in Philippine Higher Education organized by Commission on Higher Education(CHED) and DAP from September 28-30, 2026 at DAP Conference Center, Tagaytay City, Philippines.

Board Secretary Tom Paredes took the PRE-TEST: GovSESO Training for SUC Board Secretaries (B2) during the ELITE-PHE Training for Board Secretaries organized by CHED and Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and obtained an almost perfect score of 22 points out of 25 items.

After 3 days, Sec Tom took the POST-TEST: GovSESO Training for SUC Board Secretaries (B2) and obtained a perfect score of 25 points out of 25 items.
