Burauen Community College (BCC) faculty and staff attended a two-day seminar-workshop on “Statistics and Research Method: An Introduction” administered by the BCC Office of Research and Development (ORD) on November 9-10, 2022 held at the BCC Chemistry Laboratory.
Mr. Ninoval F. Pacaol, LPT, Director BCC ORD, on his opening address, emphasized the critical roles of research towards the progress and sustainable development of human society and knowledge.
Dr. Jeannie Agustin- Perez, a faculty member of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas and a proud Burawanon served as the resource speaker. During her talk she emphasized the importance of research in the community.
The two-day seminar-workshop focused on the introduction to the fundamental aspects of research methods and statistics. It also introduced a range of topics from study design, data types, graphs, use and interpretation of statistical tests. The faculty and staff were also given plenty of opportunities to apply the concepts via practical and interactive activities integrated throughout the seminar-workshop.
Mrs. Josefina S. Apostol, MBBM, the concurring Vice President for Research and Extension, expressed gratitude to the speaker for her distinguished and invaluable service to the school and the community of Burauen. She also reiterates the importance of research in the institution and the community with full administrative support for an inclusive realization of professional and personal development.
