The CSU–Sociological Society extends its heartfelt gratitude to the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗛𝗮𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗦𝗚) for inviting us to participate in 𝗖𝗛𝗮𝗦𝗦𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 2026, a leadership training seminar dedicated to strengthening student leadership and organizational development.

Through this meaningful initiative, we gained valuable insights into leadership and essential skills in technical management, financial administration, and secretariat operations. These learnings will serve as a foundation for becoming more capable, responsible, and effective student leaders in serving our fellow students and strengthening our student body.

May we continue to grow as leaders who lead with purpose, serve with integrity, and inspire positive change in our community!

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘄 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀

The CSU–Sociological Society, in partnership with the Department of Sociology, successfully held the Kalinaw Webinar Series on September 25 and 30, 2026, via Zoom, as part of TINGUHA V.2 2026 and in support of Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.

The two-session webinar gathered over 100+ participants from Caraga State University (CSU) and external organizations to discuss the importance of fostering peace within institutions, advancing peacebuilding efforts, and nurturing a culture of peace and social cohesion at the grassroots level.

Mr. Dirgha Raj Sigdel, Country Director of ForumZFD, served as the resource speaker for both sessions. He highlighted that peace is an ongoing process shaped by interactions and efforts across different levels of society. He also shared his organization's initiatives and contributions to building and sustaining peaceful communities.

The event concluded with an open forum where participants exchanged perspectives, raised questions, and gained further insights into the role of peacebuilding in creating inclusive, harmonious, and cohesive communities.

The CSU–Sociological Society (SoS) convened for its First Regular Session on September 26, 2026, at Kinaadman Hall with Mariell Mae Berdera as the presiding officer.

The session provided an avenue for the organization to discuss it's structure, upcoming events, presentation of committees, committee reports, event deliberations and budgetary matters.

Through collective discussion, deliberations and coordinated planning the CSU–SoS builds a stronger foundation for meaningful and responsive service for the organization and it's constituents.
