OP Memorandum Order No. 269, s. 2026 is released today following the announcements of the City Governments of Butuan and Cabadbaran and after careful consideration of the appropriate learning arrangements available at the university.
The Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus likewise has the discretion to determine the appropriate learning modality for its Golden Paddlers at the Laboratory High School, in accordance with the advisories issued by the aforementioned government units. Please read the full details of the Memorandum cascaded through the university’s official communication channels.
As we go back to the university, we remind our Golden Paddlers to stay cool and hydrated to avoid heat-related risks. Further, the University Clinic is open for any concerns or reports of students experiencing heat-related illnesses.

This decision is made to ensure that all students can participate in the activity under safe and comfortable conditions. Virtual attendance is still MANDATORY, and proper online etiquette is strictly encouraged.

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧: The Dress Code for Golden Paddlers is temporarily suspended due to the extreme heat conditions experienced in the region and in several parts of the country. As stated in OP Memorandum No. 252, s. 2026, students are now allowed to dress in appropriate, decent, and weather-suitable attire to school, alongside their IDs.

Golden Paddlers are further instructed to bring water bottles, umbrellas, and handheld fans to keep them cool and hydrated as classes are now in full swing. Keep safe, everyone!

🌾 CAA Strategic Review and Planning Workshop 2026 | Day 1-3 🌾

The College of Agriculture and Agri-industries (CAA) successfully conducted its Strategic Review and Planning Workshop 2026, held on July 28-30, 2026 at Vinapor, Carmen, Agusan del Norte.

The three-day activity served as a strategic platform for reviewing the academic year’s accomplishments and performance; it also concord the priorities for the succeeding academic years. This activity was facilitated by FIC Center Chief Jared Cutamora.

The opening day brought together the department chairpersons, program coordinators, faculty members, and staff under the leadership of Dr. Elizabeth P. Parac, College Dean, along with Dr. Crishelo M. Cabillo, Associate Dean. The opening message of Dr. Parac commended the College for its 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 during the recently concluded Academic Year, recognizing the collaborative efforts of faculty members and staff in delivering appropriate instructions, researches, extensions, and other key relevant functions in concerned areas. She likewise challenged everyone to strengthen collaboration, remain adaptive to the evolving demands of higher education, embrace innovation, and continue to delivering quality, results-oriented service anchored to the University's LIKHA Agenda, vision and mission.

On the other hand, Dr. Cabillo presented the College Accomplishments and Performance for fiscal year 2025. As the workshop gone through and with collaborative efforts and exchange of ideas, the college has created a Strategic Development Plan for FY 2026-2030 along with academic policies and faculty development plans.

On the last day, faculty members assigned to different areas were able to present their outputs. With guided discussions, participants grasped fully to comprehend the Institutional Planning Processes and Performance Monitoring mechanisms that support the College's Strategic Objectives. Plans and Initiatives towards Center of Excellence in Agriculture were also tackled. The College reaffirms its vision to be a Center of Excellence in Agriculture and a key partner in food security and rural development.

This activity affirmatively strengthens CAA’s commitment to quality education, research, and extension engagement for sustainable development in Caraga Region and beyond.

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧: Classes on August 6-8, 2026, will temporarily shift to an ASYNCHRONOUS TEACHING MODALITY due to the conduct of LegisHear, a national public consultation and legislative engagement program by House Speaker Fausto “Bojie” Dy III. This information is already cascaded internally through OP Memorandum Order No. 241, s. 2026.

During this time, the university will host the overall flow of the program, including town hall meetings, focus group discussions, policy consultations, and oversight feedback sessions. University services, on the other hand, will remain operational and available. Faculty members and heads of offices are also directed to make appropriate arrangements to limit work disruption and ensure the successful conduct of this activity.
