The Urian Computer Society (UCS) conducted its highly anticipated first ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐น๐ for the academic year 2024-2025 on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. This momentous occasion, held at AVR 2 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, marked the beginning of an exciting semester for the organization.
The assembly commenced with inspiring opening remarks from the UCS President, Neil Javerle; he welcomed the members and introduced the current officers, who were met with applause and enthusiasm. The members eagerly anticipated the opportunities to come.
One of the assembly's highlights was the planning session for the upcoming Computer Studies Program (CSP) and League of Campus Organizations (LCO) Days 2025. The members met with proposed activities for 2nd semesterโincluding digital poster making, digital infographics, UI/web design, debate, programming competitions, trivia contests, start-up idea competitions, typing competitions, and game tournaments (block blasts, mobile legends, and Tekken).
The assembly also showcased the unveiling of the newly organized shirt design, which UCS External PIO Charzel Jamolin made. The design was greeted with excitement and admiration; members eagerly awaited the opportunity to wear their new shirts, proudly representing their organization and showcasing their unity and spirit.
The event concluded with a captivating introduction number performed by UCS Auditor Mitzi Rosales and Von Giducos, leaving the audience in awe. Finally, the UCS Adviser, Mr. Lorenzo Turla, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the significance of being part of the innovation and profoundly impacting the community.
With the UCS 1st General Assembly successfully concluding, the Urian Computer Society is now preparing for an exciting and productive semester. ๐๐ป
