142 ALS LEARNERS COMPLETE THE LIVELIHOOD & SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM ✍️
Brgy. Taguibo Covered Court in Butuan City was filled with celebration recently as 142 learners completed their Livelihood and Skills Training program for the 2nd semester of Calendar Year 2025. The graduation marked a major milestone for participants who gained practical, in-demand skills designed to boost their livelihoods and empower their communities.
The training offered three key courses, each reaching learners across different barangays: the Basic Driving Course served residents of Brgy. Ampayon, Taguibo, Los Angeles, and Brgy. Pianing; Electrical Installation & Maintenance was held for Brgy. Sumilihon and Brgy. Anticala; and Basic Computer training was provided to learners from Brgy. Baobaoan and Sto. Nino. These programs were tailored to address local needs, equipping participants with skills that can open doors to employment, small business opportunities, or better support for their families.
The successful ceremony was made possible by strong collaboration from various stakeholders, headed by the Public Schools District Supervisor Dr. Ruby Glenn C. Samson, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), Brgy. Councils, and other community partners. Their support ensured the training ran smoothly and that learners had the resources and guidance to complete their courses.
As graduates move forward, the skills they’ve gained are set to make a ripple effect in Butuan City—strengthening local workforce capacity and fostering a more self-reliant community.
