Calling all aspiring musicians from ACLC College of Butuan!
Join us for an exciting event as we present the ACLC's Battle of the Bands 2023. This is your chance to showcase your musical talents and be part of an unforgettable competition.
Showcase your skills in front of a live audience and be judged by a panel of esteemed judges. This is an excellent opportunity to gain recognition and exposure, and possibly even win prizes.

GUIDELINES
1. Each participating band must pay a registration fee of 200 pesos upon registration, which will be used to cover the cost of event logistics and prizes.
2. Only three slots are available for the competition, and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested bands are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure their slot in the competition.
3. Bands must consist of a minimum of three members and a maximum of seven.
4. The band is required to play three songs, with at least one song being an Original Pinoy Music (OPM) selection. The other two songs can be any of the following genres: love song, reggae, or rock.
5. Submission requirements:
a. Participants must submit a completed profile of the band members, which should include their names, ages, course, and instrument played.(Form will be provided by the Organizers)
b. Participants must complete a registration form provided by the organizers.
c. The deadline for submissions is April 5, 2023. Late entries will not be accepted.
6. Judging criteria: The Battle of the Bands competition will be judged according to the following criteria:
a. Musicality and Technical Ability (30%)
b. Originality and Creativity (30%)
c. Stage Presence and Crowd Interaction (20%)
d. Overall Performance (20%)
7. Participants are encouraged to promote their involvement in the competition as well.
8. Participants must adhere to the rules and regulations set by the organizers. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate or disruptive will result in DISQUALIFICATION.
9. In case of any damage to the instruments or equipment provided by the event organizers, the band that was playing at the time of the incident shall be held responsible for the damage and will be required to cover the cost of repairs or replacement. The extent of the damage and the corresponding amount to be paid will be determined by the event organizers, and their decision on the matter will be considered final and binding.
10. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable. All participating bands must accept and respect the judges' decision.
MECHANICS
1. Participants must be currently enrolled students in ACLC College of Butuan for the academic year 2022-2023, second semester.
2. If the band or a band member is 10 MINUTES LATE, the group shall receive a 5-POINT DEDUCTION from the overall score as a penalty.
3. If the band or a band member is 20 MINUTES LATE, the group shall be AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED from the competition.
4. Bands will be given a maximum of 20 minutes to perform.
5. Participants must bring their own instruments and equipment, except for the drum set, which will be provided by the organizers.
6. Band can play an original song. Songs that contain profanity, derogatory language, or other inappropriate content will result in disqualification.
7. The organizers reserve the right to reject any song choice that does not meet the standards of the competition.
8. WINNERS WILL RECEIVE:
WINNER: Php 2,500.00
FIRST: Php 1,500.00
SECOND: Php 1,000.00
