โ FSUU COL Kicks Off A.Y. 2026โ2027 with Back-to-Back Law School Seminar and General Assembly
The Father Saturnino Urios University College of Law officially opened the academic year with back-to-back events โ a Law School Survival Seminar and the collegeโs General Assembly, last July 25, 2026.
The Survival Seminar held in the morning featured a talk entitled โSurviving Law Schoolโ from our keynote speaker, Atty. Angelo E. Cupay, CPA, who emphasized that success in the Bar Exam begins on Day 1 of your law school journey.
In the afternoon, Dean Rodney C. Ato warmly welcomed the student body to the General Assembly and later introduced essential updates to the Collegeโs Academic and Retention Policies. Consejo President Rey C. Ramonal then presented the Consejo de Legis Officers of A.Y. 26โ-27โ and held a short discussion on the Ratification of By-Laws.
The highlights of the afternoon include the ULAP Orientation by Atty. Marjorie Leigh Montero-Llano, who reminded students of their duty to embody the core Urian Values when dealing with conflicts in life and in law. This was followed by the orientation on school facilities and policies from different FSUU offices.
The assembly was then capped off by an update on the COL Bar Operations and the presentation of the academic yearโs official calendar of activities.
Ultimately, the double-header event set a powerful and unified tone for the months ahead. Armed with guidance from the faculty, leadership from the Consejo, and a clear roadmap for the months ahead, the FSUU College of Law community stands ready to meet the demands of the legal profession with academic rigor and Urian excellence.
