๐๐ข๐ข๐: The United Tourism and Hospitality Young Professionals - FSUU Chapter (UTHYP-FSUU), in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) Caraga, conducted an event titled "Gender Sensitivity Orientation & Child-Safe Tourism Seminar" this Tuesday afternoon, March 25 at AVR 1, with the aim of upholding ethical tourism and in celebration of National Women's Month.
Tiara Julia M. Santos, DOT Caraga assistant regional director and GAD Focal, led the discussion on gender sensitivity, with a focus on Gender and Development (GAD) laws, policies and information on s*x and gender. Azelea B. Peรฑas, administrative officer also from DOT Caraga, then led a discussion on children's safety, especially in combating child s*xual exploitation in tourism (CSET).
Open forums were held to entertain questions related to the topics, and ice breaker games with prizes entertained the tourism and hospitality students.
