The College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) concluded the second quarter with strong performance across its extension programs. Against a target of ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ (๐ญ) ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ active partnership, the college established ๐ณ๐ถ๐๐ฒ (๐ฑ) ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ๐ with key government agencies and organizations, significantly expanding its collaborative network for community development.
CCIS also exceeded its target of one extension program by implementing six extension initiatives across its BSCS, BSIS, and BSIT programs. These included Project INSIGHT, Project SIKAT, and other community-based initiatives that delivered technology-driven interventions to partner communities.
The quality of these extension services was reflected in participant feedback, ๐ต๐ฒ% ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด the trainings and advisory services as satisfactory or higher, surpassing the college's target of ๐ด๐ฌ%.
Faculty participation likewise remained high, with an ๐ด๐ญ.๐ด๐ฎ% ๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ, exceeding the target of ๐ณ๐ฑ% and demonstrating strong faculty commitment to extension activities.
While the college conducted ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ against a target of ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฌ, these activities provided valuable learning opportunities in Canva for Visual Materials and AI-Assisted Productivity, Computer Fundamentals and Document Productivity, and Data and Presentation Productivity using Excel and PowerPoint.
