The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE) of Mindanao State University–Zamboanga Sibugay (MSU-ZS) proudly celebrates another significant milestone with the approval of two key institutional agenda:
1. Research Manual
2. Strategic Internationalization Plan

The agenda were presented and approved during the 276th Executive Meeting held on September 17, 2026, at the Grand Westside Hotel, Parañaque, Manila, and subsequently affirmed during the Board of Regents Meeting on September 18, 2026, at the CHED Conference Room, Diliman, Quezon City.

The approval of these important documents marks a meaningful step toward strengthening the University’s research governance, enhancing the quality and impact of its research initiatives, and providing a clear strategic direction for its internationalization efforts.

The Research Manual establishes a more systematic framework for research management, development, ethics, dissemination, and quality assurance, while the Strategic Internationalization Plan provides a roadmap for expanding MSU-ZS’s global engagement through international partnerships, research collaboration, academic linkages, mobility, and knowledge exchange.

These accomplishments reflect the University’s continuing commitment to excellence in research, innovation, extension, and internationalization, in support of its vision of producing globally competitive and socially responsive professionals.

The OVCRE expresses its sincere appreciation to the MSU-ZS Administration headed by Chancellor Sheila G.Magolama, PhD, and all those who contributed their expertise, time, and dedication to the development and refinement of these institutional frameworks.

Congratulations to our esteemed Principal of the Senior High School, Asst.Prof.Mark Anthony A.Dalumpines!

Warmest congratulations to Principal Dalumpines for being recognized as the 2nd Runner-Up for the Research Excellence Award under theme 4: Office Administration, Governance, Leadership, and Organizational Development during the 3rd Higalaay Multidisciplinary Research Festival held on August 20, 2026 via online platform.

Principal Dalumpines presented a paper titled “Political Awareness and Political Participation Among the College Students of MSU-Buug” which he co-authored with his students. This well-deserved recognition is a testament to their dedication to research, commitment to academic excellence, and exemplary leadership in advancing a culture of research and innovation in the Senior High School.
