Mindanao State University-Zamboanga Sibugay joined the Workshop on University’s IQA Implementation in the Philippines Utilizing the AUN-QA IQA Management Toolkit Version 1.3, held on September 15–17, 2026, at Western Mindanao State University, Zamboanga City. The three-day workshop provided the University an opportunity to learn, exchange practices, and gain practical insights into strengthening its Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) systems and fostering a stronger culture of quality and continuous improvement.

The MSU-ZS delegates were Chancellor Prof. Sheila G. Magolama, PhD; Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Assoc. Prof. Ivy F. Amante; Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension Prof. Rovy M. Banguis; QA Focal Person Mr. Franklin Marc G. Siarza; OVCAF Secretary Asst. Prof. Gay Emelyn L. Lariosa; OVCRE Special Assistant Asst. Prof. Venerando G. Tenio; and OVCPD Secretary Assoc. Prof. Janice B. Manlangit.

The insights gained from the workshop will help the University further improve its systems and processes as the MSU-ZS community continues to work together toward quality education and better services for its students and stakeholders.

Congratulations to the Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs for successfully passing the AACCUP Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) conducted on June 15–19, 2026!

With these results, all 18 programs of MSU-Zamboanga Sibugay have successfully completed and passed the PSV — achieving a 100% completion rate.

This milestone marks another significant step in our continuing pursuit of quality and academic excellence as we now move forward toward the AACCUP Level I Survey Visit.

The MSU-Zamboanga Sibugay community gathers for the send-off of its delegation of 109 student-athletes and 9 coaches as they prepare for their journey to the MSU-Main Campus in Marawi City for the MSUSAA 2026.

Leading the send-off, Chancellor Sheila G. Magolama shared her words of encouragement with the delegation, reminding the athletes to embrace the moment and enjoy the experience: “Enjoy the game because it happens only every two years.”

With the university’s pride behind them, the MSU-ZS delegation heads to Marawi ready to compete with determination, uphold sportsmanship, and proudly represent their university.

Isang makabuluhan at makulay na pagtatapos ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 ang ating masasaksihan sa pamamagitan ng mensahe ng isang batikang g**o, mananaliksik, at tagapagtaguyod ng wikang Filipino — 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗮 𝗕. 𝗜𝗷𝗮𝗻, 𝗣𝗵𝗗, mula sa Departamento ng Filipino at Panitikan, MSU–Iligan Institute of Technology.

Taglay ang mahigit dalawang dekadang karanasan sa pagtuturo, aktibo si Dr. Ijan sa pananaliksik at mga gawaing akademiko na nagsusulong sa wikang Filipino, panitikan, edukasyong pangwika, pagsasalin, at mga katutubong sistema ng kaalaman.
