Huge shoutout to our COEd delegates who gave it everything at the 8th MSU-SAA Unity Games!!

These are not just MSU-ZS athletes, they're College of Education students who stepped onto the court, the field, and the table carrying the name of our college with them. Every match, every game, and every point was a reminder of who we are and where we come from.

The College of Education community gathered one final time at the MSU-ZS Gymnasium for the Awarding Ceremony, capping off two days of sports, academic, and literary competition among the five societies of COEd.

MES was proclaimed the overall sports champion, while FES took the overall crown in Litmus and Academics, with SES, SEE, and EES each bringing home wins of their own across the different categories.

With medals awarded and the overall champions proclaimed, COEd Day 2026 came to a close - not just as a competition, but as proof of the unity and spirit that COEd brings year after year.

Part 3

The lights dimmed. The mic turned on. And COEd Day 2026 found its voice

There's a different kind of energy when the sun goes down quieter crowd, louder heartbeat. That's the mood the Night Event walked into.

The Dance Sports opened with bodies moving in sync, every step landing on beat like it was rehearsed by the music itself.

Then, the voice took over. Dramatic Speech Choir didn't just speak - it echoed, each word carrying weight heavy enough to hold a room still. Impromptu Speaking tested nerve in real time, no scripts, no safety net, just instinct on display. Poetry Speaking slowed things down, letting language breathe between every pause. Duet brought two voices together so naturally it felt less like performance and more like conversation set to melody.

By the time the last note faded, one thing was clear, this wasn't just a program of five events. It was a night that reminded everyone what voice and movement can do when given a stage.

The night ended, but the echo didn't!

Minds put to the test, COEd Day's academic categories close out strong.

Before the courts took over, COEd Day opened with a different kind of competition one measured in words and quick thinking. The Lesson Plan Writing Contest put future educators through real classroom-style planning, while COEd Clash of Brains turned Sultan Hall into a test of speed and recall.

Essay Writing and Poetry Writing showcased command of language, one through argument, the other through imagery. Capping it off, the Demo Teaching Competition had participants step into an educator's shoes, handling a live lesson flow with composure.

Five categories, one shared goal and that's sharpening the skills future educators will carry beyond COEd Day. We are grateful for everyone who prepared and gave it their absolute best!

PART 3

Sports events done, and what a day it was!

Days of matches, close calls, and hard-fought points came to a close as COEd Day's sports events wrapped up successfully. From the courts to the field, every game brought its own share of tension, energy, and moments worth remembering, the kind that made spectators and players alike stay locked in until the final whistle.

MES came out on top as this year's overall champion, with SES, SEE, FES, and EES right behind, each society bringing their own fight to the games.

None of it would have run as smoothly as it did without the people working behind the scenes. Thank you to our faculty for the steady support throughout the event, and to the COEd Student Council for the planning and coordination that kept everything on track. And to every athlete, volunteer, and supporters who showed up, we thank you for the energy you brought to every match.

Grateful for a sports event well spent. See you at the next one!
