Faculty researchers of Caraga State University (CSU) Cabadbaran Campus participated in a capacity-building session on April 30, to strengthen their understanding and adherence to research ethics across all university research endeavors.
Dr. Joycelyn C. Jumawan, a Biology professor at CSU Main Campus, extensively discussed Ethics and Compliance Studies Involving Human Participants, which covered ethical pitfalls in student and faculty research, data privacy compliance, research ethics beyond the publication mill, among others.
The said activity, organized by the Research Development, Innovation, and Extension (RDIE) Office, aims to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge of ethical principles, protocols, and guidelines governing research involving human and non-human subjects.
It also aims to foster a culture of ethical awareness and responsibility among CSU researchers to ensure the protection of research participants, data integrity, and the credibility of the University.
