Mukha: The Different Faces of Bullying in School, Cyber, and Workplace

The WU-P Political Science Society proudly participated in the seminar “Mukha: The Different Faces of Bullying in School, Cyber, and Workplace,” with Atty. Queen Jane T. Aldave, a distinguished WU-P Political Science alumna, as the guest speaker.

The seminar explored the many forms of bullying across various platforms and environments. It also highlighted the key provisions of the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 (Republic Act No. 10627) and discussed the appropriate steps individuals can take when confronted with such situations—including where to seek help, how to report incidents, and how communities can strengthen protection and support systems.

An open forum followed the discussion, where Atty. Aldave thoughtfully addressed the students’ questions, further deepening their understanding of the issue and empowering them to respond responsibly and compassionately.

The event was enriching, insightful, and accessible to students of all year levels. It offered meaningful lessons that contribute to building a society grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine concern for others.

Bullying has many faces. It can happen to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. What may seem like a harmless joke or casual remark can have a profound impact on someone’s well-being. Let us choose kindness, think before we speak and click, and act with empathy—because everyone carries silent battles, and even small acts of compassion can make a world of difference.

The Political Science Society is honored to have taken part in the CAS Local Council’s Students Forum & Leadership Training held on November 20, 2025. This event gathered together RSO student leaders to engage in leadership talks, review transparency reports, discuss plans, present accomplishments, and participate in open discussions centered on accountability, teamwork, and growth.

We are grateful for the opportunity to present the accomplishments and initiatives of our organization—proudly represented by our Vice Chancellor, Hanna Marie Cubangbang and Secretary, Josephine Hui Jing Tan—and to contribute our insights to the council’s plans and future initiatives. We also express our gratitude for the Certificate of Appreciation awarded to our society. Moments like this strengthen collaboration within the CAS community and inspire us to continue serving with dedication, purpose, and forward-looking leadership.

Ngayong hapon, nagkaisa ang komunidad ng WU-P sa isang Prayer Rally Against Corruption! 🇵🇭 Ang kaganapan na ito ay naging isang panahon ng mapagpakumbabang pagsisisi, kolektibong panalangin, at paghahanap ng pagpapagaling para sa ating bayan.

Hinihikayat ng Political Science Society ang lahat na maging matatag sa naniniwalang ang tunay na liderato ay nasusukat sa prinsipyo, hindi sa kapangyarihan. Ang mga isyung itinindig kanina ay hindi isang paminsan-minsang tungkulin, kundi isang permanenteng deklarasyon.

Let us come together in faith and conviction. As the WU-P Political Science Society leads a Prayer Rally Against Corruption in its 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝, 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚. To strengthen its initiative to raise awareness on the consequences of corruption on society and governance.

Corruption is not just a political failure—it is a moral collapse. As Walden Bello and Howard Hendricks reminds us, it is “𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙖 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙮, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙖 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥.” And “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧.”

True leadership is not measured by power but by principle, not by position but by integrity. In the midst of ongoing corruption cases, we gather not in anger, but in faith—believing that justice begins with a God given conscience, and reform begins with courage.

We obliged everyone to wear white to symbolize, unity, and integrity, and stand with us in this call for truth, accountability, and moral renewal in our school, our community, and our country. 🙏🇵🇭
