Mukha: The Different Faces of Bullying in School, Cyber, and Workplace
The WU-P Political Science Society proudly participated in the seminar โMukha: The Different Faces of Bullying in School, Cyber, and Workplace,โ with Atty. Queen Jane T. Aldave, a distinguished WU-P Political Science alumna, as the guest speaker.
The seminar explored the many forms of bullying across various platforms and environments. It also highlighted the key provisions of the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 (Republic Act No. 10627) and discussed the appropriate steps individuals can take when confronted with such situationsโincluding where to seek help, how to report incidents, and how communities can strengthen protection and support systems.
An open forum followed the discussion, where Atty. Aldave thoughtfully addressed the studentsโ questions, further deepening their understanding of the issue and empowering them to respond responsibly and compassionately.
The event was enriching, insightful, and accessible to students of all year levels. It offered meaningful lessons that contribute to building a society grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine concern for others.
Bullying has many faces. It can happen to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. What may seem like a harmless joke or casual remark can have a profound impact on someoneโs well-being. Let us choose kindness, think before we speak and click, and act with empathyโbecause everyone carries silent battles, and even small acts of compassion can make a world of difference.
