Not all green flags are found in relationships.. but we can also find them in communities.

A community becomes a green flag when it chooses respect over judgement, understanding over assumptions, and kindness over exclusion.

Sometimes being green flag means: listening without judgement, respecting people's experiences, making others feel like they belong. Lastly, choosing kindness everyday.

Pride month is not only about celebrating identities. It is also abt creating spaces where every one of us can feel safe, accepted, and respected.

Flowers refuse to grow where the environment forces them to shrink. They need warmth, space, and above all, they need to be nourished exactly where they are planted.

People aren’t any different.

We talk about the bravery of being true to ourselves, but the truth is, nobody blooms in a space where they are in a constant state of survival—of fight. True growth won’t happen if you are under the pressure of having to prove your worth to the world. It happens when you finally find a place, or a person, where you can finally drop the armor.

This pride month, let us be the room that lets people exist. Let us be the host that opens home to others.

Be the reason they realize that they don’t have to work for the sunlight, for it is rightfully theirs as much as it is yours.

Sometimes, the most revolutionary gesture is to look into another person’s eyes, and meet them where they are. It is to let them be, without asking them to be anything. Not strong, not courageous—just be. 🌷🌸❤️‍🩹

Some people find courage in speaking up, some find it in expressing themselves through the things they love. But others show up brave in continuing to be who they are, despite the fear of judgment from everyone—sometimes even including the ones they love.

This pride month, we celebrate the different ways people show courage everyday, because courage isn’t always loud. Most times, it’s simply choosing to be yourself. It is choosing to be comfortable in your own skin.
