BALCS Takes the Initiative and Joins the Nationwide Call for Earthquake Preparedness

On March 12, 2026, students from the Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies (BALCS) participated in the First Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED 2026). This important event allowed students to practice the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure, a crucial safety technique during earthquakes, while following essential safety protocols.

Despite the ongoing Midterm Examinations, our university community’s commitment to safety and preparedness was evident through the continued preparations.

The drill aimed to enhance students’ understanding of disaster preparedness, reminding everyone that knowledge and preparation are vital in responding to sudden emergencies. It also reinforced our shared responsibility for creating a safer and more resilient academic environment.

Once Upon a BALCS Story: 2nd Sem Midterm Exam

Just like the best heroes, you have prepared for this moment by studying hard and finding your own unique voice. You are the main character of this story, and every exam is a chance to show how much you have grown.

Even when the plot gets tough, take it one page at a time and stay focused on your goal. We are all writing this adventure together, and we are bound to reach a happy ending.

ACTIVITY WRAP-UP | BALCS Students Clean Up Activity

On the afternoon of March 2, 2026, students from the 1st and 2nd year of the Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies (BALCS) gathered to conduct a Clean Up Activity within the IOLL building.

This initiative was led by the Environmental Development Committee, headed by Mr. Ron-Ron V. Agunos, under the IOLL Student Government Committees, supervised by Ms. Althea Lee Marie M. De Andres.

Through the collective effort of our student body, we successfully refreshed our department's environment, fostering a cleaner and more conducive space for learning and creativity.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the students who dedicated their time and energy to this cause. Your commitment to service truly shines!

Nitong nagdaan na Ika-12 ng Enero taong kasalukuyan, ay pormal ng nilagdaan ang ating katibayan na tayo ay nagtagumpay at nakatupad sa pamantayan ng USG sa mga usaping pang-pinansiyal; kasama nito ay nakapag sumite rin ng mga kinakailangang dokumento at naging mahusay sa mahahalagang aspeto ng usapin. Sa pangunguna ng ating mga Gobyernong Lokal; katuwang ang ating Gobernador, Bb. Althea Lee Marie M. De Andres. Bise Gobernador, Bb. Diane Iza D. De Guzman. Sekretarya, Bb. Ehra Denise G. Alcantara at ang ating Sekretarya sa Komisyon ng Pagsusuri, Bb. Marnie Shynne R. Clamonte na siyang humarap at nanguna sa nasabing paggagawad ng sertipiko.

Ito ay magandang balita at tagumpay, ngunit hindi ito maisasakatuparan kung wala ang tulong ng ating mga gobyernong lokal, mga g**o at sa tulong nating lahat.
