The Pathways to Employability (P2E) Coaching Session has officially commenced, providing graduating students of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna with valuable information, resources, and opportunities to support their transition from academic life to the professional workplace.

The program aims to strengthen students’ career readiness by introducing the various employability initiatives, career support services, and opportunities available to help them navigate their career journey.

For graduating students who were unable to attend the first session, please be reminded that attendance in at least one (1) of the three (3) scheduled P2E Coaching Sessions is required.

Global Partnerships for the Future of Communication Studies!

Mapúa MCL Partners with Indonesia’s ASPIKOM to Advance Global Communication Studies
Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) has formalized a strategic partnership with the Association of Higher Education Institutions in Communication Studies in Jakarta, Indonesia, widely known as Asosiasi Pendidikan Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi (ASPIKOM) Jabodetabek. As the regional branch representing universities across Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, ASPIKOM Jabodetabek works to standardize academic curricula and elevate educational standards by bridging gaps between academia, industry, and government entities to tackle modern communication challenges.

To kick off this collaboration, Prof. James Ronald O. Mesina, Mapúa MCL’s Vice President for External Linkages, Internationalization, and Transnational Education (ELITE), served as a plenary speaker at the ASPIKOM regional meeting on June 24, 2026. Hosted by Universitas Esa Unggul in Jakarta, Prof. Mesina delivered a keynote lecture titled "ASEAN Voice: A Strategic Playbook for Internationalization in Communication Studies" to an audience of over 40 Deans and Program Chairpersons from ASPIKOM member universities.

A major highlight of the event was the official signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Mapúa MCL and twelve prominent Indonesian higher education institutions. The participating universities include:

- Universitas Satya Negara Indonesia (USNI)

These mutual agreements focus heavily on promoting cross-border internationalization and robust academic collaborations within the field of Communication Studies. This sweeping initiative directly aligns with Mapúa MCL’s vision of becoming a global steeple of excellence in professional education and research, while actively advancing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 (Quality Education) and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The session led by Dr. Jasper Vincent Q. Alontaga, Director of the Online Distance Education Office and Associate Professor at De La Salle University, focused on strengthening educators' capacity to implement the learning technology needed to navigate the evolving landscape of education in the age of Generative AI.

Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) actively advanced its strategic internationalization and sustainability goals at the Times Higher Education (THE) Global Sustainable Development Congress, held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Tangerang.

Participating as both an event partner and exhibitor, the Mapúa Education Group showcased its commitment to future-focused academic collaboration. The delegation engaged with forward-thinking institutions to forge new alliances while strengthening ties with key regional partners. These include Indonesia’s Universitas Esa Unggul, Bina Nusantara University, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, and Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, alongside Malaysia's Sunway University.

Adding to this milestone, Mapúa MCL received recognition in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, marking its third consecutive year of being ranked among institutions contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Among the 1,646 universities evaluated across 116 countries and territories, Mapúa MCL achieved a global overall ranking of 1501+ and earned rankings across all seventeen (17) Sustainable Development Goals.
