Rooijima
ns-Meeuwissen (Nettie)- Adjunt Directeur, School Voor De Zorgsector speaheaded the delegation (January 26 to February 10, 2011). Joseph Valencia-Dean, College of Nursing, Clinical Instructress of NONESCOST- Christine Garzon_Level 3 Coordinator, Maria Theresa Espartero- OIC RLE Coordinator and Ritzel Bionat-Nightingale Organizer-Adviser welcomed the delegation. The Holland top ranking nursing school officials-Nettie and Monique said: "We are here to make an entire General Assessment of NONESCOST and needed information to understand the culture of the Filipino Community. Particularly on the curriculum, facilities, operations, practice and to discover the safety and accomodation of the Holland School of Nursing students for criss cross training (exchange students) in the Philippines and NONESCOST will send also nursing students to be trained in Holland. Nonescost School of Nursing Students must learn to speak fluent English and Dutch Languages through e-learning." The exchange students (criss cross training)-PNO-NONESCOST nursing students will train in Holland School of Nursing for a First Class to World Class exposure and in the long term for possible employment in Europe , Holland as Health Care Workers where they stay for good. Aside from Health Care Workers, they are going to determine the quality of technicians produced from vocational and technical schools. Since there is a need and growing demand among big companies in Holland like Phillips Companies. Among the data and information they needed are: safety and security, courses & curriculum design, actual observation to various hospitals in Bacolod City , Negros Occidental and Philippines. Among their observations were: Nurses in Bacolod City -Doña Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital are miracle health workers, they worked with their heart on their profession. If they will bring these nurses abroad and are qualified for the job, the Dutch people will be easy to convince to hire them. These nurses will also be needing Funding Support to be trained in Holland. Source of Funding and the need for a strategy to convince the Dutch Government for the support of Filipino Nurses to be trained in Holland. Dutch Nursing students will have no problem to them when training in the Philippines when it comes to funding. Artajo-President of PNO- NONESCOST said," PNO- NONESCOST is the only school-college in Western Visayas affiliated with the specialized Health Centers and Hospitals and very proud of its outstanding performance in Normative Financing- National Government Funding to State Universities and Colleges: Rank No. 1- in Western Visayas and Rank No. 2- in the whole Philippines. It is based on Instructions, Extension Services, Research, Production and Economic Enterprises. Rank No.1- in Criminology Board Examinations and Rank No. 11 out of 400 Private and Public Universities and Colleges in the entire Philippines. The visit was in line with the product of the PUM (Project (Uitzending) Sending Out Managers) which materialized a year ago in Business Linkages between PNO-NONESCOST and Eindhoven ROC- School Voor de Zorgsector facilitated by PUM Netherlands Representative- Nancy Pestaño. Dutch Top Ranking Nursing School Officials- Nettie and Monique were toured, visited and observed the 1. National Kidney Institute in Manila 2. National Center for Mental Health 4. Fabella Maternity Hospital and 5. Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City and 6. Silay Provincial Hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
