National Heritage Month (NHM) in the Philippines is celebrated throughout May. Proclaimed under Presidential Proclamation No. 439, the 2026 celebration is led by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and aims to honor the stories and traditions that shape Filipino identity.

In celebration of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 this May 2026, with the theme “𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲,” our institution proudly launches a two-day celebration on 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 2026 in partnership with the 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 2026 to be held on May 20–21, 2026.

This two-day celebration brings together culture, creativity, and physical wellness as we honor the richness of Filipino heritage through cultural performances, heritage exhibits, artistic showcases, and sports activities that promote unity, teamwork, and healthy living.

On behalf of the MSU-SND Muslim Community, Prof. Indihra B. Dimaporo-Tawantawan extends her heartfelt greetings and warmest wishes to everyone as we welcome this blessed month.

Although it is observed every year, each Ramadan brings a unique journey for every Muslim. For some, it deepens an already profound spiritual connection with Allah; for others, it becomes a time of renewal, an opportunity to take small yet meaningful steps toward greater spiritual growth. Whatever stage we may find ourselves in, Ramadan offers a grounding and transformative experience for all.

On February 13, 2026, the Mindanao State University–Sultan Naga Dimaporo (MSU-SND) marked a historic chapter as it celebrated its 25th year of integration into the MSU System, honoring a journey shaped by vision, perseverance, and collective success.

The celebration transformed the day into a festival of unity, where every department, every student, every employee, and every alumni became part of one shared story. From the early morning caravan that filled the streets with color and pride, to the dynamic parade and wellness activities that energized the crowd, the atmosphere reflected what MSU-SND truly stands for community.

The grounds echoed with cheers during friendly competitions and heritage games that reminded everyone of the value of teamwork and tradition. Laughter, encouragement, and school pride blended seamlessly, proving that excellence is not built alone, but together.

One of the most meaningful moments of the celebration was the tribute to newly licensed professionals, our LEA and LET passers, whose achievements symbolize the fruits of dedication and quality education. Their success is not only personal victory, but a victory shared by mentors, families, and the entire MSU-SND community.

In her message, Campus Head Prof. Indhira B. Dimaporo-Tawantawan, PhD emphasized that MSU-SND’s strength lies not only in its history, but in its people—those who continue to push boundaries and raise standards. The Integration Message from MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA further reinforced the university’s unified commitment to progress, innovation, and service to Mindanao and beyond.

The day unfolded with vibrant performances, inspiring testimonies, and moments of celebration that captured the essence of what it means to be part of MSU-SND.

More than commemorating a silver anniversary, this event reaffirmed a promise, to move forward with purpose, to lead with integrity, and to pursue excellence without compromise.
