Mr. Langala began his college journey at the Mindanao School of Arts and Trades (MSAT), now USTP, which later became part of the institution's long history of transformation and development.

At 86 years old, Mr. Langala looks back on a meaningful college journey that opened doors to a fulfilling career and a life of dedicated service. He spent 35 years with Del Monte Philippines, Inc. (DMPI), where he built a distinguished career before his retirement.

His story is more than a look back at his college days. It is a story of perseverance, hard work, and the lasting impact of education โ€” reminding us that behind the University's history are generations of Trailblazers whose experiences have become an enduring part of the USTP story.

USTP Trailblazer Stories is produced by the USTP Strategic Communication Office and features trailblazers who embody the Universityโ€™s core values and inspire others through their achievements and service.

On this day in 2016, the amalgamation of the former Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental State College of Agriculture and Technology (MOSCAT) in Claveria, Misamis Oriental officially took effect, giving rise to the

As we celebrate this yearโ€™s Charter Day, letโ€™s pause and #๐‘๐„๐…๐‹๐„๐‚๐“ on where we came from, honor the journey that brought us here, and celebrate the milestones that have shaped USTP.

From where we began to who we are today.
