On June 27, 2026, American Corner Cagayan de Oro of Xavier University–Ateneo de Cagayan, in collaboration with Capitol University and Central Mindanao University, conducted a capacity-building workshop for faculty members, nurses, medical technologists, and health researchers of the Northern Mindanao Consortium for Health Research and Development (NorMinCoHRD).

Held at Capitol University in Cagayan de Oro City, the workshop highlighted how access to credible information and eResources through can support research, innovation, and evidence-based practice in the health sciences.

The program brought together academic and research communities across Northern Mindanao, opening opportunities for stronger collaboration and continued knowledge-sharing through resources.

🌱🔬 in Action!

On July 2, American Corner Cagayan de Oro, in partnership with Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan’s College of Agriculture, hosted the closing program for 10 Philippine Science High School – Zamboanga Peninsula Region Campus students who completed their agriculture immersion program.

The students reflected on their learning experiences and explored eLibraryUSA resources and The White House Founders Museum: The Road to Liberty, connecting science, agriculture, innovation, and history through resources.

We are incredibly proud of the Xavier University High School (XUHS) instructors and students who successfully completed the 3D Printing Jumpstart Workshop.

This collaborative learning experience provided participants with valuable, hands-on knowledge in the essentials of maker technology, including proper 3D printer care, essential safety protocols, and the fundamental principles of 3D design.

Thank you to everyone who brought their creativity and eagerness to learn. We are excited to see the innovative projects our XUHS community will continue to build!🚀⚙️

Visitors from Mountain View College toured the American Corner at Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan and participated in an orientation session introducing the resources and services available through eLibraryUSA.

During the visit, participants learned about the platform's wide range of digital resources, including academic databases, peer-reviewed journals, e-books, dissertations, and multimedia content. They were also assisted in creating their eLibraryUSA accounts and registering for the service, enabling them to obtain the necessary credentials for future access.

Thank you to the visitors from the Mountain View College for their participation and interest in exploring the educational opportunities available through eLibraryUSA and the American Corner.

Last May 21, 2026, American Corner CDO hosted an exciting and interactive session for a wonderful group of XCELL Pre-College students in our Lecture Space! The Xavier Center for lifelong Learning (X-CeLL), led by its Director, Dr. Judy P. Sendaydiego, PhD, is dedicated to proving specialized, creative short courses and certificate programs for personal and professional growth.

The students were introduced by Dr. Cabudoy to the vast digital resources of eLibraryUSA and the exhibit of The White House Founders' Museum. They also enjoyed a lively puppet show, blending creative storytelling, with valuable academic insights. This engaging experience perfectly captured the spirit of the Atenean learning experience - reducing academic anxiety, fostering early peer connections, and proving that stepping into college life can be both empowering and incredibly fun!

The American Corner CDO of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan successfully collaborated with Mountain View College and Central Mindanao University, Bukidnon for this special hybrid event. A total of 166 onsite and online participants gathered to celebrate the : Cultural Immersion and 250th anniversary of the United States, which kicked off with the US Embassy's launch and ribbon-cutting for the "White House Founder's Museum: The Road to Liberty" exhibit. The newly appointed Student Associate Mobilization (SAM) Volunteers participated in the SAM Volunteer Orientation 2026 at the American Corner, Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan. As part of their preparation, they were introduced to eLibraryUSA and The White House Founders Museum Exhibit: The Road to Liberty, learning about eLibraryUSA's digital resources and the historical significance of the museum exhibit. The orientation equipped them with the knowledge to guide students, educators, and guests in accessing these resources, preparing them to serve as ambassadors of information literacy and cultural exchange.

The American Corner CDO of the Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan collaborated with Central Mindanao University (CMU) in talks proposing research-driven AI, ethnobiological and crop science models as tools for nation building.

This collaboration was part of , highlighting the topic "Bridging Tradition and Technology: Integrative Medicine, AI Innovation, and Global Collaboration", the event brought together respected names from the Northern Mindanao academic and scientific communities to share their experiences and insights.
