Under the theme "๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ: ๐ข๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐น๐, ๐ข๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป", the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) of the Liceo de Cagayan University gathered all first-year to fourth-year students today at the Liceo Civic Center for the annual General Assembly.
More than a routine briefing on policies and schedules, the gathering served as a vital bridge across all year levels, transforming an administrative event into a powerful unifying experience. Freshmen taking their first steps in accountancy sat alongside seniors preparing for graduation, establishing a collective identity through opening remarks by Mr. Lito Solima, CPA, CTT, LPT, MBA, and leadership introductions by Mr. Rhaian A. Bernas and Ms. Princess Joan Reca Sarrauz. Celebrating delegates from the RMYC, SBMA Days, Mindanao Congress, and the Accountancy Week Celebration (AWC) further reinforced a culture of shared pride and academic support.
To balance technical updates regarding retention policies, tutorials, and scholarship grants, the assembly purposefully tore down student hierarchies through engaging, high-energy activities. Interactive icebreakers, merchandise giveaways, a "Bring Me" game, and a "Best Dressed" catwalk competition gave students across all batches the chance to cheer for each other and build lasting camaraderie, echoed by inspiring words from speakers Mr. Nelson Daganta, CPA, MM, and Mrs. Farrah Manlangit, CPA, MM.
By the time Mr. Bernas delivered the closing remarks and students gathered for final photo sessions, the event had successfully fulfilled its mission: binding four distinct year levels into one cohesive JPIA family, united under a single vision for the year ahead.
