On this day, Lourdes College honors the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the late Sen. Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., whose legacy continues to inspire patriotism and love for our country. As Ignacian-Marians, may we always uphold the values of truth, integrity, and selfless service to the nation.

Taking center stage at the national level, our brilliant debaters proved once again that eloquence and sharp minds are a hallmark of a Lourdesian education!

At the Kamalig Asian Parliamentary National Debate Tournament in Metro Manila, our students showcased the true depth of Lourdes College’s quality education through a sweep of stellar achievements. Ivan Dave S. Dusil commanded the floor, taking home 3rd Best Philippine Speaker, 4th Best Schools Speaker, and 9th Overall Best Speaker, alongside Michelle Capablanca (6th Best Philippine Speaker, 5th Best Schools Speaker) and Norland Ramuros (Rank 14 Best Philippine Speaker). Together, they emerged as the 12th Overall Best Team and Pre-Octo Finalists. Adding to the glory, the formidable trio of Jade Taleon, Cloudy Scent Dagatan, and Ralph Kenneth Agcopra fought their way to the top as the 8th Philippine Sibol Breaking Team and Semi-Finalists.

This triumphant national showing reflects the holistic, transformative, and excellence-driven environment Lourdes College nurtures in every student. Special gratitude goes to their dedicated coach, Mr. Kimbert M. Baiño, LPT, whose guidance and tireless mentorship paved the way for this victory.

Attention, Lourdesians!

Please be informed that classes in all levels will shift to synchronous (online) modality on August 13–14, 2026, pursuant to the official declaration of the City Mayor, Hon. Rolando “Klarex” Uy, due to the forecasted high heat index in some areas of the Philippines, including Cagayan de Oro City.

In view of this, the Mass for the Feast Day of Our Lady of Assumption and the Ignacian Formation Program for newly hired personnel are cancelled until further notice.

Students are required to check for updates through their respective communication channels and Google Classrooms for the online class links.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) recently met with the Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office X Regional Director Dr. Ruth L. Fuentes to align strategies and deepen collaboration for private education assistance across the region.

With discussions centered on program enhancement and preparations for the upcoming Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education (GASTPE) Regional Program Committees (RPComs) meeting, this partnership reinforces a shared goal: ensuring no learner is left behind.

In attendance were PEAC Regional Program Coordinator Dr. Myrna M. Fantonalgo and Lourdes College President Sister Ma. Miraflor A. Bahan, RVM, representing a united front for educational excellence.
