𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

After a month filled with activities, not only in academics across clinical and community settings, but also in opportunities to socialize and foster camaraderie among future physicians in the Philippines, the USTP-COM held its General Assembly with its Dean, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐌. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧, to warmly welcome students back to campus.

The assembly featured the sharing of experiences from the two-week electives at JR Borja General Hospital and the Department of Health Center for Health Development – Northern Mindanao. Year Level II and III students also reflected on their week-long community immersion in Brgy. Poblacion and Brgy. Lanise, Claveria, Misamis Oriental, an experience that deepened their understanding of community-based healthcare and strengthened their commitment to serve.

The gathering also recognized the delegates who represented the college in the 15th APMC-SN Regional Convention, USTP Paugnat 2026, and the PHA-PCC Midyear Convention 2026, celebrating their dedication, leadership, and excellence beyond the classroom.

More than a simple welcome-back event, the General Assembly became a platform for reflection and growth. Event heads and representatives were invited to share not only their experiences and insights but also constructive suggestions essential for improving both the curriculum and future activities.

In many ways, the assembly served as a culmination of January’s endeavors, a reminder that while medical training demands competence and rigor, it is equally shaped by collaboration, service, and shared purpose. As we move forward, we carry with us the lessons, memories, and renewed motivation to continue becoming doktors para sa bayan.
