BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) SEMINAR AND TRAINING 2025
On the 19th of November, the Xavier University - Ateneo Mountaineering Society (XU-AMS) successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Seminar and Training, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to safety, preparedness, and responsible mountaineering.
The activity served as an essential learning experience for participants, equipping them with practical knowledge and life-saving skills that can be applied both on and off the trail. Through guided discussions and hands-on demonstrations led by trained facilitators, attendees learned CPR, bandaging techniques, patient assessment, and other basic emergency response protocols, emphasizing the importance of quick and effective action during critical situations. 🚑
As mountaineers, preparedness is just as important as adventure. Beyond appreciating nature and conquering trails, XU-AMS continues to uphold its responsibility of ensuring that its members are capable of responding to emergencies and protecting lives in any environment.
This seminar and training stands as another step toward building safer, more responsible, and more capable outdoor leaders.
