ACADEMIC FREEZE ADVISORY

ANNOUNCEMENT | NEMSU Cagwait Campus

Please be informed that there will be an Academic Freeze on March 24–25, 2026 (Tuesday and Wednesday).

In line with this, all midterm examinations that were not conducted will be completed on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Furthermore, on March 25 (Wednesday), students are invited to participate in the Women’s Month Culmination Program, which will be held via an online platform.

CHED Officials Commend NEMSU Cagwait for Academic Excellence

CHED Commissioner Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino, together with CHED Caraga Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin and NEMSU President Dr. Nemesio G. Loayon, visited NEMSU Cagwait Campus today, recognizing the university’s strong academic performance and continuous progress across its campuses.

Dr. Aquino expressed pride in NEMSU’s development, while Dr. Alibin praised the campus for achieving full compliance with COPC standards—highlighting its commitment to quality education.

The visit reflects CHED’s continued support and recognition of NEMSU’s dedication to academic excellence and institutional growth.

Please be informed that North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) will temporarily adjust its operating hours for the week of March 16–20, 2026, in view of the declaration of Friday, March 20, 2026 as a regular holiday pursuant to Proclamation No. 1189, s. 2026.

𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟔–𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲–𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲)
All administrative offices shall observe the regular eight (8)-hour work schedule from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. in place of the ten-hour compressed workweek schedule previously implemented.

𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬
All classes shall proceed as scheduled, except on Friday, March 20, 2026, which is a declared holiday.

The Compressed Workweek Schedule under Joint Memorandum No. 03-001-2026 shall resume on March 23, 2026, as previously planned.

All concerned units are directed to ensure the proper dissemination and strict implementation of this advisory.

Due to the continuous moderate to heavy rainfall and the Yellow Rainfall Warning issued by DOST-PAGASA, face-to-face classes from 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 are suspended today, March 09, 2026, until further notice.

The weather disturbance is caused by the trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) and the convergence of winds, which may result in flooding and possible hazards in low-lying areas. The advisory was issued by the 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭 to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel.

Residents are advised to stay alert, monitor official updates, and take necessary precautions during this period of inclement weather.
