CBSUA-Calabanga Welcomes Batch 6 of the Teaching Certificate Program in Virtual Assembly

College of Education orients its newest cohort of future teachers on the program’s schedule, subjects, and faculty

The College of Education (COE) of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA)–Calabanga formally welcomed the sixth batch of enrollees in its Teaching Certificate Program (TCP) during a TCP Virtual Assembly held on August 29, 2026, from 8:30 to 10:00 in the morning via Google Meet. The online orientation gathered 31 participants of TCP Batch 6, together with the college administration, program chairpersons, and the TCP teaching faculty.

TCP is a professional education program designed for degree holders in non-teaching fields who aspire to enter the teaching profession. The virtual assembly served as the official orientation of the new batch, introducing them to the program’s requirements, its cluster of subjects, and the faculty who will guide them throughout their coursework.

The program opened with an audio-visual presentation for the opening prayer and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Dr. Noel M. Celeste, Dean of the College of Education, delivered the welcome remarks, greeting the new enrollees and affirming the college’s commitment to supporting them on their path toward becoming licensed professional teachers.

To ground the batch in the institution’s ideals, Mr. Salomon B. Azañes Jr., BSE-Mathematics Program Chairperson, presented the University’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO). Dr. Anna Liza P. Bordado, TCP Coordinator, then walked the participants through the proposed schedule and cluster of subjects, giving them a clear picture of the courses ahead — including offerings such as TCP 103 (Assessment of Learning I and II), TCP 104 (Curriculum Development), and TCP 105 (Observation and Participation).

The teaching faculty for the program was presented by Mr. Jerome M. Hipolito, Internal Linkages and Special Projects Coordinator, who also served as the master of ceremonies for the assembly. An open forum followed, giving the participants the opportunity to raise questions and clarify concerns about their enrollment, subjects, and schedule.

Capping the assembly, Dr. Lowell Francisco, Registrar III, delivered a message of encouragement, reminding the new batch of the significance of their decision to pursue teaching and wishing them success as they begin the program.

With Batch 6 now oriented on the program’s expectations, schedule, and faculty, the CBSUA-Calabanga College of Education continues to widen access to quality teacher education, helping aspiring educators from diverse fields earn their place in the teaching profession.

The Teaching Certificate Program (TCP) of the CBSUA-Calabanga College of Education provides professional education units for baccalaureate degree holders from non-teaching disciplines who wish to qualify for the teaching profession. Through flexible delivery and a dedicated faculty, the program prepares its graduates to meet the requirements for licensure and to serve as competent, values-driven educators.

CBSUA-Calabanga College of Education Holds General Assembly for BSE Graduating Students
“Stepping Forward: A New Chapter in the Journey of Future Educators” gathers graduating pre-service teachers ahead of their culminating year

The College of Education (COE) of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA)–Calabanga successfully convened its General Assembly for Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) graduating students on August 28, 2026, at the COE Gazebo and ICT Room. Carrying the theme “Stepping Forward: A New Chapter in the Journey of Future Educators,” the assembly brought together the college’s graduating pre-service teachers, faculty, and program chairpersons to prepare the students for the milestones of their final academic year.

The gathering served both as an orientation and an official assembly, giving graduating students a clear roadmap of the requirements, opportunities, and responsibilities that await them as they move closer to earning their degrees and entering the teaching profession.

The program opened with the Election of Officers, presided over by Dr. Anna Liza P. Bordado, Associate Professor V, TCP Coordinator, and BAC Chairperson. Dr. Noel M. Celeste, Dean of the College of Education, delivered the opening message, welcoming the students to what he described as a defining chapter in their formation as future educators.

A significant portion of the assembly was devoted to addressing the academic and internship concerns of the graduating class. Mr. Jerome M. Hipolito, Associate Professor II for Internal Linkages and Special Projects, discussed matters relating to Field Study II. Mr. Salomon B. Azañes Jr., Associate Professor IV and BSE-Mathematics Program Chairperson, tackled concerns on thesis and enhancement classes, while Dr. Aurora DS. Besmonte, Associate Professor V and BSE-Filipino Program Chairperson, oriented the students on internship.

The assembly also featured the oath-taking of the newly elected set of officers, who will represent the graduating body throughout the school year. Mr. Edwin S. Breva Jr., BSE-English Program Chairperson, delivered the closing remarks, encouraging the students to carry the values of dedication and service as they step into their roles as the country’s next generation of teachers.

Sa pagbubukas ng panigabong school year, itinaong Camarines Sur Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO) ang Career Development Support Program sa Orientation Seminar (OrSem) ng mga estudyante ng Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA)-Calabanga Campus.

Ang career coaching ay bilang paghahanda sa mga estudyante para sa kanilang magiging career pagkatapos ng kolehiyo.

Sa programa, binibigyan ng gabay ang mga kabataan sa career planning, resume building, at job matching pati na rin ng impormasyon tungkol sa mga oportunidad sa trabaho sa loob locally and abroad.

Ayon sa pamunuan ng CBSUA, malaking tulong ang programa lalo na sa mga graduating student na nais magkaroon ng direksyon sa kanilang magiging career pagkatapos ng kolehiyo.

Nagpasalamat naman ang CBSUA-Calabanga at mga estudyante nito sa CamSur PESO at Provincial Government of Camarines Sur sa pagdadala ng programa sa kanilang OrSem, dahil nagabayan sila at nagkaroon ng ideya sa kanilang magiging buhay matapos ang academic activities sa kolehiyo.

As part of the Public Forum, the candidates for the next University President will respond to Sectoral Questions representing the voices, concerns, and aspirations of the different sectors of the University community.

Malugod na tinatanggap at binabati ng Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) ang lahat ng Stateans sa pagsisimula ng Taong Akademiko 2026–2027. Panibagong taon na naman ito para sa mga freshmen at continuing students na haharap sa bagong mga aralin, hamon, at karanasan sa loob at labas ng unibersidad.

Sa pagsisimula ng panibagong taong panuruan, patuloy na sinusuportahan ng buong pamunuan ng CBSUA ang pamayanang akademiko sa paglikha ng isang produktibo, makabago, at de-kalidad na karanasan sa pagkatuto para sa mga mag-aaral.

Patuloy na isusulong ng CBSUA ang kahusayan, inobasyon, at de-kalidad na edukasyon bilang bahagi ng pangako nitong ihanda ang bawat Statean para sa kanilang mga mithiin at kinabukasan.
