Weeks after our ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก celebration, the commitment to care, connection, and compassion lives on. As part of ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ, the ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฉ ๐ผ๐๐ (๐ท๐๐จ) ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ ๐บ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐ was successfully conducted on November 8, 2025, at the LCBA Multipurpose Hall, equipping our student leaders with essential skills to respond to psychological crises during emergencies and disasters.
Through this training, participants were introduced to the core principles of LOOK, LISTEN, and LINK, strengthening their capacity to provide immediate, humane, and supportive responses to peers in distress. The session was facilitated by Master of Science in Psychology students under the course ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, with Ms. Irene T. Gonzales, Mr. Lanz Daenielle T. Cordero, and Ms. Apple Grace Daligdig serving as resource speakers.
This meaningful initiative, in collaboration with the Guidance and Counseling Center and the School of Graduate Studies, was aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO) theme: โ๐ด๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ โ ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐กโ ๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐ก๐๐ ๐ก๐๐๐โ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ .โ
As we look back on this activity, we are reminded that mental health advocacy does not end with a month. It is a continuous effort to build a safer, kinder, and more responsive LCBA community. ๐
