ADVISORY | ALTERNATIVE LEARNING ARRANGEMENTS IN LAGUNA

In accordance with Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 128, Laguna is among the areas covered by alternative learning modes in schools on August 18, 2026, due to the continuous heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 17

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 127, government offices are directed to shift to appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces starting 12:00 noon on August 17, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Zambales
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Cavite
📍 Batangas
📍 Rizal
📍 Laguna
📍 Quezon
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

IN PHOTOS | PHINMA RCL Partners’ Luncheon 2026

PHINMA Rizal College of Laguna welcomed its valued school, LGU, and NGO partners for the Partners’ Luncheon 2026, a gathering that celebrated meaningful collaborations and looked ahead to greater opportunities for learners and communities.

The event recognized the partners’ contributions through the Youth Empowerment Champions Award for LGU and NGO partners and the Student Completion and Success Champions Award for partner schools. Representatives, including Mr. Jean Ezekiel Fernandez of DSWD Calamba City Link and Ms. Charlene Angeles, Principal of Punta Integrated School, also shared messages highlighting the impact of the PHINMA Education partnership in their communities.

Adding to the celebration, PHINMA RCL student singers serenaded the guests, followed by an exciting raffle draw that capped the gathering on a joyful note. Through continued collaboration, PHINMA RCL and its partners look forward to building stronger pathways for student success and community development.

The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the impact of their shared efforts while looking ahead to stronger partnerships and greater opportunities for learners and communities in Calamba and nearby areas.
