The Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Office shares key laws that protect students’ rights, safety, dignity, privacy, welfare, and access to education.
📌 RA 7079 – Campus Journalism Act of 1991
Protects campus press freedom and student journalists’ rights and responsibilities.
♿ RA 7277 & RA 9442 – Magna Carta for Persons with Disabilities
Ensures equal access to education and protection from discrimination.
🛡️ RA 7877 – Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995
Punishes sexual harassment, especially by persons in authority.
🚫 RA 9165 – Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
Strengthens drug prevention, education, and rehabilitation programs.
💜 RA 9262 – Anti-VAWC Act of 2004
Protects women and children from abuse in relationships.
