The City College of Calamba (CCC) successfully conducted its 4th Faculty Development Program (FDP) – Lecture Series for the Second Semester of AY 2025–2026 at the Roman Lazaro Hall, gathering teaching personnel for an insightful discussion on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education.

Anchored on the theme “Shaping Future-Ready Education: Integrating Artificial Intelligence with Ethics and Human Values,” the program emphasized the importance of preparing educators to navigate technological advancements while remaining grounded in compassion, responsibility, and ethical practice.

The event featured Dr. Alice Maldonado-Lacorte, who delivered an engaging and thought-provoking lecture on the responsible integration of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning. She emphasized that while AI offers powerful opportunities for innovation and efficiency, educators must continue to uphold human-centered learning, empathy, and ethical decision-making in the classroom.

Complementing the discussion, Dr. Jacqueline A. Dela Torre discussed the topic “Teach with Excellence: Empowering Educators through Digital Responsibility and Professional Integrity.” Her lecture highlighted the crucial role of educators in modeling ethical digital behavior, promoting responsible technology use, and maintaining professionalism in an increasingly digital academic environment.

Following the lectures, Dr. Ronald Gonzales, College President, shared institutional updates and encouraging developments during his “President’s Hour,” fostering a sense of unity and optimism among the faculty members.

The activity reinforced CCC’s commitment to developing future-ready educators who are not only technologically competent but also ethically grounded and value-oriented. As education continues to evolve in the digital age, programs such as this empower CCC teaching personnel to embrace innovation responsibly while keeping the welfare, dignity, and holistic development of learners at the center of education.

The City College of Calamba (CCC) successfully conducted its 3rd Personnel Development Program (PDP) – Lecture Series for the Second Semester of AY 2025–2026 at the Roman Lazaro Hall, reinforcing its commitment to responsible data management and institutional integrity.

Anchored on the theme “Introduction to Data Privacy / How to Create a Privacy Notice,” the program highlighted the importance of safeguarding personal and sensitive information within the academic community. It aligned with CCC’s continuing efforts to uphold credibility, accountability, and the protection of individual rights in all institutional processes.

Serving as the Internal Resource Speaker, Mr. Ghandu L. Toledo, Data Privacy Officer of CCC, provided clear and practical guidance on data privacy principles and compliance. He helped faculty and personnel better understand their roles and responsibilities in handling data, emphasizing the need for proper documentation, informed consent, and the creation of effective privacy notices.

Following the lecture, Dr. Ronald A. Gonzales, College President, shared updates and encouraging developments during his “President’s Hour,” keeping the community informed and engaged with the institution’s ongoing initiatives.

The activity underscored the critical role of data privacy in today’s educational landscape. By equipping its personnel with the right knowledge and practices, CCC continues to build a culture of trust, accountability, and ethical responsibility, ensuring that the rights and dignity of every member of the academic community are protected.

Sa paggunita ng ika-40 anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power Revolution, ang buong City College of Calamba ay tumitindig sa tunay na diwa ng EDSA—pagkakaisa, tapang, at mapayapang pagkilos para sa kalayaan at demokrasya. Ang EDSA ay hindi lamang isang makasaysayang pangyayari, kundi isang paalala na ang kapangyarihan ng bayan ay nagmumula sa pagkakaisa ng puso, paninindigan sa katotohanan, at malasakit sa kapwa.

Today, we honor the courage of ordinary Filipinos who stood for extraordinary ideals. Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon sa bawat Iskolar ng Bayan ang aral ng EDSA—na ang pagbabago ay nagsisimula sa responsableng mamamayan na handang tumindig para sa tama, makatarungan, at makatao.

Sa CCC, patuloy nating isabuhay ang People Power sa pamamagitan ng edukasyon, paglilingkod, at pagmamahal sa bayan. Sama-sama, patuloy tayong bumubuo ng kinabukasang may pag-asa, dignidad, at tunay na kalayaan.
