ORIENTAL MINDORO PARLIAMENT OF YOUNG LEADERS 2024!

"Strong ones stand for themselves, but braver ones stand for others".

OMPYL 2024 gathered young minds from different corners of the province of Oriental Mindoro in a four-day filled with meaningful experiences, relevant learnings, and fun activities.

By communicating their advocacies, engaging in a though conversation, exchanging of perspectives on pressing issues, from technical writing to debates, delegates had able to explore the legislative process in policy making and parliamentary procedure.

Ala-GAD Advocates supports the causes for the youth and for advocating Basic Human Rights, as we continue to be the voice of the voiceless and be the image of hope and an agent of positive change in our society.

Mabuhay Advocates and Young Parliamentarians!

Ala-GAD Advocates spearheaded and send delegates to the third edition of the Oriental Mindoro Parliament of Young Leaders, held at the Provincial Capitol Complex and Batasang Panlalawigan Hall, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, Nov. 7-10, 2024.

Ms. Aian Feliciano, Ala-GAD Chairperson and Mr. Carlos Throy Catoy, Ala-GAD Treasurer, are part of the organizing team who initiated and facilitated the said annual provincial youth event under the Provincial Youth Development Office of Oriental Mindoro.Their leadership skills, parliamentary backgrounds and unwavering passion for empowering the youth had truly brought an inspiration to aspiring young legislators of the province.

Meanwhile, Ms. Kristelle D. Ibon, Ala-GAD Secretary, and Ms. Faye Del Rosario, Ala-GAD Auditor, represented our organization to the said event as members of committee on Health & Social Inclusion and Equity. Bringing our shared advocacy in a bigger platform by crafting ordinances and resolution, and engaging in tough conversation with fellow great young minds, they are committed to champion a healthier and more inclusive province.

A job well done for this new milestone of our very own AlaGAD Advocates, may you continue to lead with good example and inspire your fellow youth.
