In consideration of the concerns raised by the students and the current financial struggles being experienced by many, the University Student Government (USG) has decided on 𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙎𝙂 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙭𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙢 𝙤𝙛 ₱150 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧.

This consideration applies only to USG-related fines and is implemented as an act of understanding and consideration toward the present financial situation of the students.

However, this does 𝙣𝙤𝙩 mean that the same policy will automatically apply in the following semesters or school years. The USG also reminds everyone that we do not tolerate irresponsibility or disregard of university activities and policies. We still encourage all students to remain responsible, participative, and mindful of their actions and responsibilities.

A single book can open a thousand doors. 📚✨

Ang librong natapos mo nang basahin ay maaaring maging simula naman ng bagong pangarap para sa iba. Maliit na bagay para sa’yo, pero malaking tulong at opportunity para sa kanila.

This book donation drive is part of our NSTP project, but it is more than just a school requirement or activity. Layunin naming makapagbahagi ng mga babasahin at learning materials na maaaring makatulong sa pag-aaral, pagpapalawak ng kaalaman, at paghubog ng kinabukasan ng mga estudyanteng nangangailangan. Not everyone has enough resources to buy books or gain access to educational materials, which is why, through this simple act of giving, we can help inspire more young people to read, learn, and pursue their dreams. 📖✨

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Focused on elevating the standards of civic service and youth leadership, a delegation from Mindoro State University (MinSU) is currently attending the 20th National Congress of NSTP Educators and Implementers at the Grand Astoria Hotel, Royce Convention Center from May 13 to 15, 2026.

The congress, organized by the Philippine Society of NSTP Educators and Implementers, Inc. (PSNEII), celebrates two decades of molding the Filipino spirit. This year’s theme, “Championing NSTP through a Whole-of-Community Approach: Shaping Youth as Nation Builders,” highlights the crucial transition of learners into leaders through the spirit of bayanihan.

The participation of MBC Coordinator Mr. Enrique T. Magalay (Faculty Regent), MCC NSTP Facilitator/Instructor Mr. Regino D***s, and MBC NSTP Facilitator/Instructor Mr. James Mark Fajutag is driven by the mission to champion the National Service Training Program through a “Whole-of-Community” approach.

According to the official congress rationale, the delegation’s participation is centered on two primary objectives: (1) to engage in a national platform for dialogue and knowledge-sharing aimed at elevating the implementation of both the National Service Training Program (NSTP) and the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC) and, (2) to enhance the awareness and commitment of implementers in championing the transformative impact of these programs, ensuring students evolve from learners into active nation-builders.

Through focusing on these goals, the MinSU team seeks to refine the university’s approach to the LTS, CWTS, and ROTC components, ensuring that service, compassion, and responsibility remain the foundation for the next generation of Filipino leaders.

✅The updated examination schedule will be reflected in the admission portal once finalized.
✅Applicants experiencing difficulty accessing their portal due to misspelled registered email addresses or forgotten passwords are advised to visit the Office of Admissions and Scholarships at the campus where they filed their application.
✅Applicants whose application status remains in “DRAFT” are also advised to visit the Office of Admissions and Scholarships at their chosen campus to complete and update their application on or before April 15, 2026. After this date, all applications with “DRAFT” status will be automatically forfeited and deleted.

Despite the weather, NSTP students remained in service after completing their midterm examination, as each department proceeded to clean their designated areas in preparation for Mindoro State University’s 5th Anniversary Celebration, which will be held on March 16 at the MINSU–Calapan City Campus.

This activity highlights the spirit of volunteerism while supporting SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities.

This requires submitting relevant documents to support the validity of the absence and obtaining approval from the Dean/Head/Program Chairperson. During the NSTP class on March 7, 2026, the Philippine National Police (PNP) conducted a lecture on Anti-Illegal Drug Awareness as part of its continuing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign with the theme “𝗕𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗹𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘀, 𝗦𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗮𝘆 𝗨𝗺𝗶𝘄𝗮𝘀, 𝗣𝗡𝗣 𝗗𝗘𝗚 𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀.”

The activity was led by PLT Monette P. Gamdutan, C, DRET, PNP DEG SOU 4B, together with Patrolman Robert Villanueva, DRET PNCO.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness among students, especially as future public servants about the serious dangers and consequences of illegal drug and substance use. It also emphasized the importance of responsible decision-making and the commitment to maintaining a drug-free lifestyle.

PLT Gamdutan further reminded the NSTP students that when they face personal challenges or emotional difficulties, they should seek healthy and constructive ways to cope, such as reaching out to trusted individuals or engaging in positive activities rather than turning to illegal or harmful behaviors. She emphasized, “𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦, 𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮 𝘬𝘰 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘢, 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘰 𝘩𝘶𝘸𝘢𝘨 𝘯𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘸𝘢𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘸𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘢. 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴. 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺.”

She also shared a personal experience about someone who once approached her to open up about their struggles. Reflecting on this, she remarked, “𝘗𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘯𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘴𝘪𝘺𝘢 𝘱𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯?” Her story highlighted the importance of listening, extending support, and guiding individuals through difficult moments so they may regain strength and move forward.

In line with promoting responsible citizenship and compassion within the community, the discussion also highlighted opportunities for students to serve others.

“𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲’𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄.” As part of the celebration of the Philippine Army’s 129th Founding Anniversary, the Philippine Army, in partnership with the Oriental Mindoro Blood Council, conducted a Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity at the university’s grandstand. The initiative aimed to encourage NSTP students to take part in community resilience efforts while fostering a stronger spirit of volunteerism through meaningful acts of service and life-saving contributions.

Today’s activity highlighted the following 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀, specifically SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
