The Institute of Education of the City College of Calapan and Stairway Foundation Inc. officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement today at Aninuan, Puerto Galera, formalizing a partnership to provide pre-service teachers with a transformative e-learning course on Child Protection Policy.
The MOA signing was graced by Ronald F. Cantos, DPA, College Administrator, and other key officials of City College of Calapan: Mr. Armando M. Lamboloto, BSED Science Program Chair; Ms. Nelma L. Viaรฑa, BSNEd Program Chair; and Mr. Noel A. Comia, CCC CES Coordinator, alongside Mr. Lars C. Jorgensen, Executive Director, and Ms. Monica D. Ray, Creative Director, representing Stairway Foundation.
Through this collaboration, the partnership aims to:

Provide pre-service teachers with access to Stairway Foundationโs Child Protection E-Learning Courses and related learning resources as part of their professional preparation

Strengthen future educatorsโ understanding of childrenโs rights, child protection, safeguarding principles, and appropriate responses to child protection concerns โ including online safety risks

Integrate child protection education into CCCโs teacher education program to better prepare students for field study and practice teaching

Promote child safeguarding and rights-based practices, empowering future educators to build safe, inclusive, and protective learning environments in the schools and communities they will serve
This partnership marks a significant step toward equipping the next generation of teachers in Oriental Mindoro with the knowledge and tools to protect and champion childrenโs rights.
