Lumina 2026: EEA Shines with Accreditation and Dual Honors

In a defining afternoon at Lumina 2026 held at BDC, the organization marked a milestone of excellence, securing its long-awaited certificate of accreditation while clinching two coveted distinctions.

The Opus Aureum Award recognized its Most Exceptional Performance in the Accreditation Process in COEd, while the Opus Ornatum Award honored its Most Visually Appealing and Organized Documents.

The recognition conferred last January 27, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, underscores not only the EEA's diligence in documentation but also its commitment to academic and organizational excellence.

did not grow up speaking English. He learned English through self-study, especially during his time in London (1888-1889) and Hong Kong (1891-1892).

Rizal became fluent in English, where he was influenced by great writers such as Shakespeare, Dickens, and Carlyle.

By spending long hours at the British Museum Library, reading books and scholarly works, Rizal was also able to interact with English-speaking individuals around him.

Learning and speaking English enabled Rizal to connect with foreign intellectuals and share the Philippine reform movement with a wider audience.
