Happy World Pharmacists Day 2026!

Today, the Manila Central University College of Pharmacy proudly celebrates the pharmacists of today and the future pharmacists we continue to nurture—our Pharmates!

With this year’s MCU CPh celebration, “Empowered Pharmates, Healthier Futures: Learn. Serve. Lead.”, we remind our students that becoming a pharmacist goes beyond mastering medicines. It means continuously learning, using our knowledge to serve with compassion, and having the courage to lead toward healthier communities.

To our MCU Pharmacy students, faculty, alumni, partners, and fellow pharmacists—may we continue to carry the Centralino spirit wherever the profession takes us.

In celebration of Generics Awareness Month 2026, the Manila Central University College of Pharmacy hosted the event “Kalusugan ng Bawat Pilipino, Generics ang Katuwang Mo!” on September 15, 2026, at the Helix Auditorium, Manila Central University.

The activity brought together future pharmacists in promoting greater awareness of generic medicines and their role in supporting accessible and responsible healthcare.

We were also delighted to welcome pharmacy students and faculty from our participating schools—Philippine Women’s University (PWU), National University–Manila, and World Citi Colleges—who joined us in this meaningful learning and advocacy initiative.

Our sincere appreciation to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Philippine Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (PACOP), Inc. for partnering with MCU in strengthening generics awareness and empowering future pharmacists to become advocates for informed and responsible medicine use.
Together, we continue to advance SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 4: Quality Education through pharmacy education, collaboration, and health advocacy.

Strengthening Research, Shaping Future Pharmacists

The MCU College of Pharmacy PH31 students successfully organized the hybrid Course Enrichment Seminar “Methodological Prescriptions: Structuring Research Design” on September 14, 2026.

Featuring Mr. Jebb Patrick M. Delos Santos, RPh, MPH, the session equipped students with practical insights on choosing appropriate research designs and transforming research questions into well-structured pharmacy research.

Another step toward building a stronger culture of research, inquiry, and innovation at MCU Pharmacy!

A memorable ten-day journey of learning, friendship, and cultural exchange comes to a beautiful close.

The MCU–UHS Cambodia Onsite Experiential Learning and Cultural Immersion Program 2026 concluded with a meaningful Closing Ceremony, followed by a Heritage and History Tour and a heartfelt send-off of our UHS Cambodia students.

Our sincere gratitude to the MCU Administration, Office of External Affairs, Academic Affairs, our Overall Chair Dr. Katrin Bernadette M. Santos, working committee, faculty members, staff, and students for making this milestone international mobility program a success.

Thank you, UHS Cambodia students, for being part of MCU College of Pharmacy’s first international immersion program. Your presence strengthened global friendships, enriched learning experiences, and opened new opportunities for collaboration.

May this be the beginning of stronger partnerships and more meaningful exchanges between MCU College of Pharmacy and UHS Cambodia.

DAY 3: LEARN BY DOING | MCU–UHS PHARMERSION 2026

Today, our UHS Cambodia Pharmacy students took learning beyond lectures through hands-on and immersive pharmacy experiences at the MCU College of Pharmacy!

From Pharmacy Class Immersion to hands-on Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical Analysis laboratory activities facilitated by our College of Pharmacy faculty, the UHS Cambodia students had the opportunity to apply concepts, strengthen their practical skills, and experience pharmacy education at MCU.

This is what PHARMERSION is all about—learning by doing, sharing knowledge and skills, and building meaningful connections across borders.

From Classroom to Industry: Future Pharmacists in Action!

Day 2 of the MCU–UHS Pharmersion Program brought our MCU College of Pharmacy 3rd Year students and UHS Cambodia student delegates to Amherst Laboratories, Inc., Laguna for an exciting pharmaceutical manufacturing immersion!

The students explored the world of solid and liquid dosage form manufacturing, gaining firsthand insights into how medicines are developed, produced, and quality-checked before reaching patients.

Beyond the machines and processes, this experience highlighted the vital role of pharmacists in ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality medicines.

What a vibrant start to PHARMERSION 2026! Today, our UHS Cambodia Pharmacy students were officially welcomed to MCU through a Welcome Ceremony, campus tour, Filipino-style boodle fight, and fun-filled Palarong Pinoy—a perfect mix of learning, culture, friendship, and Filipino hospitality!
